I saw another review where there was concern over the gap at the bottom, and in my experience I do not believe this gap is large enough to allow a BB through, nor is it in a place where it would be easy to get a bb hit unless you are lying down on your back in the middle of the match, and I took many goggles hits with these at my last game day. A simple covering over the lower face mask would easily calm any concerns.
