Recently at Patrol Base we have stared stocking KICKASS Gas created by “Future Developments” within the UK.
Today we thought we would make a little review of the new gas in store and available online because it really did amaze us just how well it performed! In this review were going to give my personal first impression of the gas along with performance and other information from firing pistols down our indoor Airsoft firing range.
Availability:
We are currently stocking a considerable amount of KICKASS Gas but we are selling two variants of the gas. Available is either a 750ml or 200ml bottle. The 750ml bottle is perfect for storing in the safe zone for when it’s time to re mag your pistol, Uzi or any other gas operated piece of kit.
We also sell a 200ml bottle which is ideal for taking out on the field with you. Its compact size allows you to store it in a chest rig or pouch easily, ready to pull out to fill your mags up quickly in a fire fight.

First Impressions:
WOW! Simply great. The 750ml bottle was first tested with a WE M1911. In total 3 magazines were filled and straight away loaded into the pistol and then fired down our range in the shop. I didn’t wait for the mags to warm up as other reviews have said the gas is ready for use instantly even in cold weather.
With the mags loaded the pistol was fired one shot after the other with about a second to spare between each shot. Once the mag was empty, there was still gas to spare so I went and loaded the mag up again with bb’s only and got another mag worth out of it. The same was to be said for all 3 magazines.
The same test was done with the 200ml bottle of gas, and the results were identical.
The Figures:
With the KICKASS Gas you’re looking at getting up to 6 magazines worth of action easily if you take your time with single shots, if you go rapidly firing your getting about 2 magazines worth of action. These results were in both WE m1911, ASG MK23 and a KWA Glock 17. The FPS delivered varies depending on what pistol is used.

At Patrol Base we sell allot of Krylon spray paint and so we decided, “Why not start customising our guns with paint?” and so I personally went and re-painted my Maruzen L96 with the a range of Krylon paint that we sell online.
The plan was to replicate a Digital Camo style on the gun using woodland colours but broken up with khaki. The hardest part was creating the stencils to produce the digital effect mainly due to how long it takes to cut them out.
Once the stencils were all prepared the painting could begin. In the end I went and painted the entire gun, magazines, bipod and scope flip up covers.
I personally think it turned out quite well, not originally how I intended it to look but it has the desired finish and once it’s ghillied up, I think it will be more of a stunner.
Pictures of the final product:

Unfortunately I had not thought to take any photos during the whole painting process, but if there is a next time I will try to remember and maybe produce a guide on how to create this effect yourself.
If you don’t have the time on your hands to re paint your gun then contact us at Patrol Base to see if we can create your dream paint job.
Thanks for reading and don’t forget to comment and subscribe
