Description
This Airsoft replica of a world-renowned support replica is a stunning replica of the Russian PKM light machine gun which was introduced into service in 1969 as part of a bid to make the current PK platform more user friendly and lightweight. It features gorgeous Real Wood furniture which is a fine example of what can be done with love and appreciation for the product, and is without doubt some of the finest Wood finishings we have seen on a replica. The upper loading tray and receiver are made from Steel for a highly realistic finish, and the outer barrel assembly and trim parts of the LMG (fire selector etc.) are made from Alloy.
The barrel is a fluted design which helps to reduce overall weight (very necessary for this platform) and look absolutely gorgeous; in the real world it also helps promote heat dissipation. At the end of this barrel assembly is the traditional 7.62x54mm flash hider which unscrews to reveal a 14mm CCW thread which you can use to add suppressors and other muzzle devices to massively update the look of this classic. Underneath this barrel assembly you will find an electronic Rate of Fire control which, quite literally, changes your Rate of Fire at the press of a button. The barrel assembly features a wooden handle which many people believe is for carrying the weapon. It is most definitely not, and should not be used as such! In the real world this handle is used to change out the barrel of a PKM that has ripped through a box of ammunition, without scolding your hands, as heat builds up in the barrel very fast. This has been replicated on the Airsoft version but has no function; please do not use this handle to carry the replica as we do not believe it is strong enough to do so. The Steel constructed bipod underneath the barrel is very well made and will support your PKM whilst letting you rotate the barrel to achieve different angles of fire. The mechanism is undoubtedly the best we have seen on an LMG and feels very purposeful and precise when locking in between positions.
Moving further back the LMG we get to the receiver which is constructed from Steel to a very tight tolerances. The feed tray and dust cover fit together really well and are completely free from rattle and flexing. Underneath the loading tray is where you will find the battery connection which is a Mini-Tamiya connector with a joined connection to feed power to the electric magazine. This is a really nice touch as most Airsoft LMGs require the magazine to have a separate battery to operate, whereas this one pulls charge from your main gun battery. The magazine offers two feed settings: continuous and trigger linked. Speaking of triggers, it's a microswitch trigger which has a light pull and a distinct but soft 'break' point.
The rear stock is the crème de la crème of Wood Furniture and has to be held to be believed. It is absolutely rock solid with no wobble what-so-ever, is polished so hard you can nearly see your massive smile and feels as close to the real thing as you can get. On top of the receiver is a set of adjustable iron sights which can be adjusted for elevation. This is incredibly handy for those who play the support role properly, and want to get in position and be able to accurately reach out to a variety of ranges on the fly.

Joule Charts
Special Instructions
These table can be used as a reference to see if the BB weight you are using will be over acceptable Joulage limits at some Airsoft Sites in the UK. To check if the weight can be used chrono your weapon using the BB you intend to use, and then compare it to the chart.
FPS, Power and Joule Limits can vary from site to site, so please get in touch with where you're going to play with in advance to avoid disappointment.
Suggested limits are based on Joulage Limit rules used Halo Mill: Proving Grounds, with a 350fps limit for Automatic Replicas, 400fps for Semi-Automatic Replicas, and 500fps for Bolt Action Replicas.
Tap the tabs below to open the relevant chart for your replica.
This table should be used for reference, and cannot be used to check one weight against another, as the weight of the BB affects the power.
In order to check if the BB can be used with your replica chronograph using the weight you wish to use and then compare it against the table.
Every time you change weights you will need to re-chrono and check against the table. This is not a conversion chart between weights.
Suggested limits are based on Joulage Limit rules used Halo Mill: Proving Grounds, and is the equivalent of 350fps, using 0.20g BB resulting in an upper limit of 1.14j.
