It's purpose is to attach to the Rig and secure over the top of one half of the Rig. This helps keep tension on the Rig and secures the magazines in place where it is installed. A large panel of hook and look material is connected to a metal snap hook, and can be used to secure important items which require constant access, such as keys / gloves.
