This Superlight piston reduces friction for an increased rate of fire, in addition to the overall reliability of your rifle. The sliding guides are designed to minimize friction and retain the lubricant for a long period of time and the rack seat is decentralized to favour the coupling between the piston teeth and those of the sector gear.

The loaded technopolymer assures great mechanical resistance and dimensional precision. The rack was manufactured through the use of MIM (Metal Injection Moulding) technology since this production process guarantees dimensional accuracy and sturdiness equal to those of solid machining.
Currently considered the best for this type of use, the metal injected is SAE 4650 steel. The sliding guides are designed to minimize friction and hold the lubricant for a long period of time, so you can be safe in the knowledge that your AEG will have reliable and long-lasting cycle functionality.

The piston in an airsoft electric gun is the driving force behind the air required to launch the BB out of the barrel. It meshes with the teeth on the gears to travel backwards, compressing the spring which in turn launches the piston forward to compress the air in the cylinder and force the BB out of the barrel.
Your AEG piston is under heavy use every time the gearbox cycles, so it needs to be made from a tough material to last for the tens of thousands of shots you would expect out of an AEG. Though not essential, having a robust material like steel teeth or a steel rack on the piston helps to ensure long-lasting performance.
