Description

As part of their RAVEN series NUPROL beings us the ever popular and infinitely iconic Airsoft replica with the EU17. With realistic gas blowback recoil, front rail and textured ergonomic grip, this pistol is reliable in either a CBQ setting, practical pistol shooting, or as a trusty sidearm, the EU17 has got you covered. Constructed from high density but polymer, with a tough, realistic alloy slide, this RAVEN is both tough and lightweight.

Starting at the front of the pistol, we have the alloy barrel that sports a 12mm CW female thread at the tip, allowing tracer units, suppressors and other muzzle devices to be added with a 12mm to 14mm clockwise thread adapter.

On the right side of the slide, we can see the mock ejection port through which we get a glimpse of the outer barrel, offering some flashy blue-on-black contrast. For added realism, the rear of the ejection port showcases a mock extractor as a separate piece; While it serves no real function on an Airsoft GBB, it adds a little aesthetic style seeing it moulded as a separate piece to more faithfully simulate the real world pistol.

The EU17 showcases a 20mm Picatinny pistol rail on the dust cover, which allows for the mounting of pistol torches, lasers and other 20mm Picatinny accessories. On the rail itself, we can see the serial number plate, which is also finished in black. This plate doubles as a trigger lock safety, primarily for transportation, and can be pushed backwards to engage, or forwards to release.

At the rear of the frame rail, we find the trigger guard, which in classic EU series fashion is shaped to aid the use of a 'European grip' shooting style, with checkering on the front face for added grip. Within the trigger guard, we find, yep you guessed it, the EU17's trigger, with two-stage design. Working similarly to the real pistol, the trigger cannot be pressed if the separate centre section is not also pressed. This serves to reduce the chances of an accidental discharge, meaning unless your finger is on the trigger, the pistol will not fire.

Also featured on the frame of the EU17 textured gripping surfaces and an extended magazine release making it easier to find under fire, and making it easier to release the magazine from the weapon for a fast reload. The magazine well of the Gen.4 EU series has a slight flare to it, allowing the magazine to be loaded easily. An additional ergonomic feature is the textured surfaces featured all around the pistol's frame, preventing accidental drops during dynamic movements, gloves or no gloves. This also eliminates the possibility of accidentally launching your pistol across the site when attempting a fast draw. Don't laugh, it happens!

The pistol features an adjustable Hop Up Unit, designed to increase the range and accuracy of your pistol. The hop-up works by applying pressure to the BBs with a small rubber contact patch which causes the BBs to spin and displace air around them as they travel. This creates a more stable and accurate flight pattern by applying a backspin to each projectile. The hop is fully adjustable to suit a wide range of BB weights and types. The HOP-up adjuster is accessible when the slide is removed from the pistol for a field strip and is located on the outer barrel base.

If you're wanting a reliable, gas efficient pistol in a slick ergonomic package, look no further than the RAVEN EU17. This is the skirmish staple sidearm for a huge number of skirmishers these days and has plenty of holster and spare magazine options as a result. Additionally, there is no UKARA required nor waiting for it to be painted as it's pre two toned a flashy bright blue so you can get skirmishing as quickly as you could rack the pistol's slide.

This is the perfect sidearm for any Airsoft player, newb or veteran, allowing you to quickly and effectively protect yourself from any threat should your main weapon go down or the enemy engages you in a CQB Environment.

Special Instructions

The RAVEN EU Series magazine release can sometimes require bedding in when new. If you find the magazine of your EU series pistol falls out or does not lock into place, we suggest the following steps:

  • Tap the magazine on the baseplate firmly after insertion. This ensures the magazine catch engages with the cutout on the magazine to retain it properly. You can check whether this has worked or not by looking at the magazine release button. If the magazine is fully locked, the button should protrude on the left side and be flush with the grip on the right side.
  • Bed the magazine catch in. This can be achieved by locking the slide back and inserting and removing the magazine repeatedly several times.

Should you need help fitting the spare Gas Nozzle or Spare O-Rings please feel free to get in contact with the Workshop via our Contact Us Page.

The externals of the replica are metal where they would be on the real world gun. This includes things like the outer barrel, handguard, and receiver. If a real world gun has polymer parts then the gun will still be marked as full metal externals, examples of this would be an M4, where the Stock and Pistol Grip are always made from Polymer.

Great value. Might have been better with a metal slide as it feels a bit light but fires really well
