WADSN SBAL-PL Red Laser and LED Tactical Flashlight

The SBAL-PL (Single Beam Aiming Laser- Pistol) from WADSN is constructed entirely from aluminium with a high quality anodised finish applied to its surfaces. This flashlight/laser combination is one of the latest and greatest designs to enter the market, offering a plethora of functions along with its fully adjustable red aiming laser. The squared look of the SBAL-PL gives it an ultra-modern look and would be the perfect accessory for a modern "offensive handgun" style primary, such as an FN-X, USP, H&K45 or tactical Hi-capa.

The SBAL-PL sports fully ambidextrous operation, offering an activation switch on either side of the unit sitting well within reach of either the shooter's trigger finger or their support hand thumb regardless of whether they are left or right-handed. Each activation switch features texturing on the surface and "VIS" embossed, providing grip and correctly indicating that these switches activate visible light.  A single tap on either activation switch will turn the light on, and an additional tap will turn it off again. Double tapping either activation switch will activate the strobe mode, which is a super useful function for CQB and room clearing, giving you an extra few seconds to get the kill whilst the enemy team is disoriented. 

The laser is controlled through the same two activation switches and can be turned on by holding down on either switch for 3 seconds. Holding the switch down again for a further 3 seconds will turn the laser off. This combines perfectly with the way the flashlight activation works, allowing you to turn the laser on with a 3-second press, then press the switch again to run light and laser together, or double-tap the switch to run laser and strobe at the same time! Few flashlight/laser combinations offer this level of functionality, especially through only a single switch! This ultra-simple operation makes this complex device easy to become proficient with, following the golden rule; Keep It Simple, Stupid!

The battery compartment of the SBAL-PL is within the body of the light itself and can be accessed by squeezing the two tabs below the activation buttons together, after which the battery door will hinge open. The SBAL-PL requires a single CR123a cell to operate and can take either disposable or rechargeable cells. 

The SBAL-PL has a 20mm Picatinny mount machined into its shell, with a steel locking bar and screw to secure. This mount design gives the unit the ability to be zeroed and hold its zero over a long duration when compared to QD mounts and lasers with polymer mounting apparatus. The SBAL-PL has absolutely no flex when mounted, guaranteeing accuracy even under the rigours of an intense skirmish. The adjustment screws for the red aiming laser are both located on the left side of the unit (with the mount facing up) with the uppermost adjustment screw controlling the left/right movement (windage) and the screw below controlling the up/down (elevation) movement of the laser. These screws require a small Allen key to adjust, and thankfully WADSN has included one in the box. 

The SBAL-PL has a very realistic external look, sporting accurate warning labels and its name, "SBAL-PL" marked on the left side, with a WADSN logo on the bottom. The inclusion of warning stickers that match the real SBAL-PL gives this device a more realistic look and is a thoughtful addition from WADSN. The SBAL-PL is supplied in a polymer hard case, giving you somewhere to store this gorgeous light when it's not in use.
