Rare Arms AR-15 GBBR 10.3" CO2 Shell Ejecting Carbine

  • Shell Ejecting
  • CO2 Gas Blowback Rifle
  • The most realistic Airsoft assault rifle on the market

Taking the concept of the ultra-realistic Gas Blowback rifle to the next level; The Rare Arms AR15 is powered by a CO2 bulb housed in the pistol grip, freeing up space in the magazine and allowing this system to eject a mock shell every time it is fired! The recoil on this rifle is something else, as is the feeling you get seeing a spent shell fly across the room. In terms of immersive firing experiences, this rifle is second to none. HPA Adaptor is now available separately

The polymer shells for these rifles are stated to be "disposable" by the manufacturer. They will likely last more than one use but they are not designed to be used forever and will need replacing after a certain number of cycles. This has been done to avoid the rifle's ejector and bolt being damaged with use, as they would be from metal shells.

Description

The Rare Arms AR15 is not interchangeable with any other M4/AR15 rifle on the market. This is probably the only truly unique AR15 Airsoft rifle out there.  A serious collector's piece, the Rare Arms AR15 has a fully reciprocating bolt carrier, astonishing recoil, and operates exactly like the real firearm in every way. Perfect as a tactical training tool, or filmmaker's firing prop; you may get close but you will not be able to find anything else which provides the level of realism this rifle does.

Starting at the muzzle, we can find a beautifully machined steel birdcage flash hider, which mounts to the 14mm CCW male threads at the end of the steel outer barrel. Words cannot describe how perfectly machined and finished the metal parts on this rifle are, the one word that comes to mind is "flawless". The outer barrel is 10-inches in length, integrating perfectly with the 9.5-inch M-LOK handguard, allowing just the flash hider to poke out of the end. Mounted on the steel barrel, beneath the handguard is a low-profile gas block, with a realistic mock gas tube which extends back into the receiver. The M-LOK handguard provides a Picatinny 20mm accessory rail that mates seamlessly with the railed receiver, providing a monolithic top rail with 40cm of uninterrupted rail attachment interface. The handguard provides a total of 5 QD sling sockets, 3 at the muzzle end and two towards the receiver, ensuring you have the flexibility needed to sling this rifle the way that suits you. M-LOK accessories or rail sections can be attached at any point on the 7 attachment surfaces around the circumference of the handguard, providing attachment points in excess of the standard 3, 6 and 9 o'clock positions usually available on M-LOK handguards. At the 12 o'clock position at the tip of the handguard, we can find the integrated flip-up front sight, which is barely noticeable when folded due to its built in rail design. The sight can be deployed by pressing the button on the left side of the rail system, after which it will flip up under spring assistance. To fold the sight, simply hold the button and push the sight back down, releasing the button once the sight is flat with the rail to lock it in place. An MBUS style rear sight is provided mounted to the receiver rail, which is also features spring assisted deployment and can be raised by pressing on the section above the mount. This sight combination provides a fine front post, and two sizes of ghost ring rear aperture to choose from, giving the shooter a precise and functional set of sights from the box.

The receiver of the Rare Arms AR15 is comprised of two parts, the upper receiver and the lower receiver. Unlike most real AR15s, there is practically no discernable gap between the two, evidencing perfect fitment and precise machining. The finish on the receiver is a flat black, with absolutely no flaws or inaccuracies. The left side of the receiver features the bolt release catch, and the selector lever, both of which are constructed from steel. The bolt catch, found in the centre of the receiver, functions exactly like the real AR15. The upper textured section, the "ping pong paddle" allows the shooter to release the bolt when a new magazine is inserted, with the lower section allowing the bolt to be manually locked back when the charging handle is pulled, either to inspect the chamber or to minimize wear when inserting a full magazine. The steel fire selector lever can be found just above the pistol grip, and sits comfortably under the shooter's thumb, ready to be flipped into semi or fully automatic in an instant. The fire selector of the Rare Arms AR15 locks cleanly and positively into each fire mode and feels nicer than any other fire selector we have handled. The fire selector functions exactly as the real AR15's does, and as such the rifle cannot be put into the "safe" mode without the hammer first being cocked. The markings around the selector switch read "SAFE-SEMI-AUTO", clearly indicating each fire mode with crisp, fine engravings. These markings are also repeated on the left side, leaving open the possibility of installing an ambidextrous fire selector, though this rifle is not compatible with any currently on the market.

The rifle's trigger is a standard AR15 style curved trigger, which feels great to fire, with a clean, audible reset. Beneath the trigger, we can find the trigger guard, which is a standard M4/AR15 flat type, but can be exchanged for real-spec AR15 trigger guards. The magazine release can be found on the right side of the magazine well, and is, of course, made from steel. The fit of the magazine in the mag well is absolutely perfect, holding the magazine in securely whilst allowing the magazine to drop free when the magazine release is pressed. Perfect for swift tactical reloads, as it should be given this rifle's magazines hold a mere 30 rounds, just like the real firearm. The right side of the upper receiver features the dust cover, ejection port, shell deflector (you will need this), and forward assist button. The dust cover is made from stamped steel, and just like the real rifle, pops open when the first shot is fired. Behind the dust cover, we can find the steel bolt carrier. We thought a normal GBBR had realistic internals, this thing blows the others out of the water in this regard. Looking into the open chamber of the Rare Arms AR15 is a strange experience for someone with purely Airsoft experience, all you can see inside is the accurate cam pin bulge, locking recesses in the chamber, and a bolt face that looks almost identical to a real AR15, but without the firing pin. If you handed this to someone and told them it was real, they would believe you, even if they knew Airsoft inside and out. The bolt carrier's steel construction adds to the impressive recoil of the Rare Arms AR15, and helps give the rifle a realistic feel and center of balance. The steel forward assist button operates just like the real thing, and can actually be used to push the bolt carrier into battery should it not seat properly when  the rifle is cocked. The charging handle can be found at the rear of the receiver, just below the Picatinny rail, and is a standard AR15 low snag design, with a catch to release the handle on the left side. The rifles pistol grip is a high strength polymer part, and is ergonomically designed, providing additional support for the web of your hand and comfortable linear texture on the front and rear faces to ensure you have a positive grip in any weather condition. The grip is where the power source is stored in this rifle, which takes the form of a 12g CO2 Bulb. The CO2 can be installed by using the included allen key to first remove the aluminium CO2 compartment from the bottom of the pistol grip. Next, a CO2 bulb can be placed inside, and the compartment reattached with the allen key. Please note that unlike gas in magazine GBBRs, this rifle can be fired with the magazine removed. Similarly to an AEG, there may still be a BB in the chamber when you finish firing, it is important to exercise caution and clear this out either by firing in a safe direction or using a cleaning rod before storing the rifle.

As we reach the rear of the rifle, we can see the ambidextrous steel sling plate, which lies at the rear of the receiver and serves both to seal the receiver from dirt and debris and provide a sling loop on either side, perfect for single point sling use. Following the sling plate, we arrive at the AR15 buffer tube, which is attached to the receiver via the rear threads and a steel castle nut which ensures the important structural components remain firmly attached. The buffer tube is an aluminium 6 position type, and comes with a gunfighter style stock mounted, which is absolutely solid and shows no signs of wobble or flex. The stock also includes 2 QD sling sockets, adding to the already plentiful sling options provided on the Rare Arms AR15. The stock adjustment lever is a low profile, snag minimising design which is comfortable to press, and has a helpful hole in the adjustment lever, allowing a tool to be inserted when removing the stock, preventing you from having to hold the adjustment lever down against a strong spring, saving your hands the strain! The butt plate is made from rubber and has aggressive chevron style checkering, providing superb grip and helping the shooter keep this heavy recoiling GBBR firmly in their shoulder.

The realistic operation of the Rare Arms AR15 is unparalleled and is guaranteed to bring a smile to the face of whoever shoots it. The noise and recoil are incredible, with the awesome firing experience being amplified by the shell ejection function, which catapults shells across the room with remarkable force. If you are a firearms enthusiast, film maker, hardcore Milsimmer or just want something that is far beyond awesome to shoot in the garden, you won't find anything better than the Rare Arms AR15.

Further Information

Special Instructions

Please note, this rifle can fire without the magazine inserted. Please ensure the rifle is cleared before storage and always exercise proper safety procedures when using this rifle.

This rifle functions in the same manner as a real AR15 and cannot be put into "safe" mode when the hammer is not cocked. Please do not force the selector switch into the "safe" position without first cocking the rifle, this will break the selector switch.

Whilst the HOP adjuster can be accessed through the ports in the handguard for fine adjustments, we advise that when initially setting the HOP that you remove the handguard for better access to the adjuster.
