This Airsoft Electric Gun from Specna Arms is another in the EDGE series and is where high quality external materials, top spec internal components and a reasonable price point all meet in the middle to create a sure-choice AEG. The external build quality is absolutely excellent on Specna models, and uses a combination of Zinc Aluminium, Alloys and Steel for a rock-solid feeling rifle in the shoulder, and a long lasting finish which is protected by a Nano Coating to reduce scratching. The replica is fully licensed and features markings from Rock River Arms, a firearms manufacturer from Illinois, USA. Furthermore, it is authenticated with a hologram seal so that you know you have the genuine article. The markings on the receiver are engraved and include a unique serial number.

Internally, the magic continues with the replica being built around the ORION gearbox with a reinforced frame. A 6.03mm precision inner barrel keeps your BB path true, and the Rotary Hop Unit applies great amounts of backspin to your BBs, allowing you to use heavier weight rounds for steadier flight paths. A GATE X-ASR MOSFET protects your electrical components and ensures longer life, whilst improving response from the trigger. It can also diagnose basic faults thanks to the status LEDs on the board. A quick change spring system perfectly rounds off the package and makes it roughly 30 seconds to change the main spring once the gearbox is removed, giving the user much more flexibility with how they use the replica, and the power it can output. Other internal components include: a reinforced Piston, Aluminium sealed Nozzle, Aluminium double sealed Cylinder Head, Aluminium double sealed Piston Head, Steel Gears and 8mm Bearings.

Externally the replica features a 14mm CCW thread at the end of a short barrel assembly, which is ready to accept any kind of suppressor or tracer unit. The handguard is a four-point 20mm RIS and is ready for any RIS compatible accessories out of the box, but comes included with a Polymer short foregrip for better control over the replica. The receiver also has a 20mm rail on top which is ideal for scopes and sights, but has a flip-up rear ironsight installed out of the box. The Pistol Grip and Stock are made from high density Polymers which makes them feel great, and the pistol grip is a quick access design which gives you easy access to the motor. The buffer tube has an Ambidextrous Sling Plate installed which is ready for slings from either side of the replica, making this a great choice for left handed players who cannot adapt. The six position sliding Crane Stock at the rear is where the battery is housed and has sockets for a QD sling point if you wish to run this kind of setup.

If a real world gun has polymer parts then the gun will still be marked as full metal externals, examples of this would be an M4, where the Stock and Pistol grip are always made from Polymer.
