Specna Arms have been in the game for a good while now and it shows with their CORE serious, as they bring their wealth of experience and quality pedigree to M4s at insane value for money considering their build quality. The CORE series is designed to be a superior starter gun that is ready to be skirmished at a high level as soon as you open up the box. With quality internals and solid build, with a host of features, the SA-C05 in particular specialises in CQB combat, thanks to it's compact form factor and functional suppressor included for a Spec Ops style of play.

With a combination of strong Nylon fibre reinforced Polymers and tough alloy, this weapon feels absolutely rock solid in the hands, and comes to a substantial weight of 2.150kg which strikes a perfect balance between build quality and a usable overall weight. At an incredibly attractive price point, which puts it on the same level as the ever-popular G&G CM16 Raider and including more features out of the box - this is a perfect starter weapon to get you skirmishing, or for those more veteran players looking for a more compact weapon or start an M4 loadout.. 

At the front of the weapon you will find an integrated 14mm CCW suppressor which deadens the sound of the weapon slightly, and hides an extended inner barrel to maximise long range consistency. An Alloy 20mm RIS railed handguard allows you to attach all manner of accessories such as torches, sights PEQ units etc, with the top rail continuing on to the full length of the rifle allowing for larger scopes and optics. An advantage of the alloy handguard (aside from feeling sweet to grip) is that it allows much greater strength and stability over its' polymer counterparts when mounting tactical equipment. 

The reinforced polymer receiver is deceptively well built, and took us a few moments to realise it wasn't metal! The receiver doesn't necessarily need to same amount of strength as the handguard and as such the polymer construction is advantageous as it reduce the weigh of the rifle, which adds to the manoeuvrability of the M4 in fast paced CQB environments. On top of the weapon are pre-installed flip up iron sights which are great used by themselves or in combo with (or as a backup) to a main optic/sight.

The mock charging handle is a nice inclusion to add a bit of realism to the rifle and haws the added function of when pulled back it reveals the rotary type HOP-up unit, which can be adjusted for windage and elevation and also allows you to use heavier rounds right out of the box.

You will fine custom trademarks and logos on the side of the receiver including a serial number.  The rear-wired sliding crane stock is fantastic for battery space and can afford the user even the largest of butterfly/nunchuck/crane stock style batteries to keep you playing all day long.  We recommend a 7.4v Lipo stick or crane stock Tamiya battery for this rifle.

Inside this Stock you can access the screw for the buffer tube, which when removed will allow you to quickly change the inside which means that you can use a heavier round straight out of the box and apply a great amount of spin to your round, letting you reach out further and touch your opponents.

So if you're a new player looking for an advanced rifle that performs well in CQB, or a veteran player looking to start their M4 loadout the right way, the SA-C05 is a great choice.
