The CM.009C MOSFET Edition is an M16 platform Airsoft Electric Gun replica of the A1 variant, which saw heavy use in Vietnam. Much like the CYMA Platinum series, this AEG features a MOSFET and Electronic Unit that makes a serious improvement on trigger response, which is really the only thing you could complain about on the previous model. It also features a Quick Change Spring for quicker and easier Main Spring changes; very helpful if you play at multiple sites with different power limits. If you're looking for either a period accurate Airsoft Gun or you're looking for your first rifle, this is a seriously strong contender.

Description

This Airsoft Electric Gun is a replica of the M16A1, which is probably most famous for its use by the US Army during the Vietnam War. The US Army were searching for a new standard issue weapon to replace the WWII armaments (such as the M1 Garand, M3 Grease Gun, Thompson etc.) and started moving towards the M14 platform. However, when faced against the AK platform in the Vietnam War it was discovered that the M14 was too uncontrollable on Full Auto to maintain fire superiority over such an organised enemy. Eventually it was decided that a balance needed to be met between the large 7.62 cartridges and the ability to lay down controlled, sustainable fire; enter the M16A1.

This Airsoft Replica is constructed to an awesome standard, with Aluminium being used for the Receiver, Outer Barrel Assembly and Fire Control elements of the rifle. Polymer is used for the Handguard, Pistol Grip and Solid Stock as per the real article, however much more pleasant Polymer has been used than previous generations of this rifle, and is a welcome touch that makes the replica feel great in the hands.

The Receiver features a unique serial number which is great for identifying your own rifle, which is very helpful should you turn up to a MilSim event where everyone is using the same kit. The Fire Controls will be very familiar to anyone who has used the M4/M16 platform before, with a Safe/Semi/Auto Fire Selector and an offside Magazine Release. Front and Rear Sling Loops can be found to help carry the rifle on Skirmish Day, and a set of Adjustable Ironsights are integrated into the Carry Handle and Front Sight Post

The Outer Barrel features a 14mm CCW Thread which can be used to install Suppressors, Tracer Units and other Muzzle Devices. It can be used by unscrewing the Flash Hider, but check you have removed the Grub Screw from the Flash Hider first! Behind the Dust Cover you will find an adjustable HOP Unit which can be used to apply backspin to your BBs, and theoretically improve range and consistency when paired with the right weight BB and settings (some experimentation is required). To access the HOP Unit, simply pull back the Charging Handle and look inside the Dust Cover to find the Gear Wheel Adjuster.

Onto the interesting part: the internals. As a massive upgrade over previous M16A1 models, this Airsoft Gun comes included with an Electronic Trigger Unit and integrated MOSFET, which massively improves Trigger Response, replaces traditional Trigger Contacts to make it more reliable, makes for much faster follow-up shots, and most importantly it will sing a song to you when you connect your battery. Also included is a Precision 6.03mm Inner Barrel which, coupled with the length, is the secret to how this AEG is so accurate out of the box.

The CM.009C also features a Quick Change Spring system that allows you to change the Main Spring of the gun without disassembling the Gearbox. This is great for those who want to float between Automatic and DMR rules, or if you play at multiple sites that all have their own power limits. Also included in the internals is a Full Steel Teeth Polycarbonate Piston, Steel Gear Set, 8mm Steel Bushings, CNC Machined ALuminium Silent Cylinder and Piston Head, Spring Guide w/ Bearings as well as a High Torque Neodymium Motor.

The CM.009C is rear-wired, meaning your battery will need to be installed in the Stock. To access this, simply remove the Screw from the Butt Pad and remove the Butt Pad from the Stock. Inside you will find a Deans Connector to which you mount your chosen battery. We recommend an 11.1V 1300mAh LiPo battery for the best performance and an easy fit. Getting the Screw back into the Stock can be tricky, but is best done by holding the Butt Pad to one side whilst you visually inspect and sit the Screw into the thread, and then slide the Butt Pad into place and secure it.

Included in the box is a 160rnd High Cap Stubby Steel Magazine (to fit with the Vietnam theme), however it will accept any typical M4/M16/STANAG Magazine, making it widely compatible. If you're looking for either a solid and dependable first (or backup) rifle for Airsoft, or you want a period-accurate replica that performs amazingly, then look further than the CYMA CM.0009C MOSFET Edition.

Special Instructions

The externals of the replica are metal where they would be on the real world gun. This includes things like the outer barrel, handguard, and receiver. If a real world gun has polymer parts then the gun will still be marked as full metal externals, examples of this would be an M4, where the Stock and Pistol grip are always made from Polymer.

Joule Charts

Special Instructions

These table can be used as a reference to see if the BB weight you are using will be over acceptable Joulage limits at some Airsoft Sites in the UK. To check if the weight can be used chrono your weapon using the BB you intend to use, and then compare it to the chart.

FPS, Power and Joule Limits can vary from site to site, so please get in touch with where you're going to play with in advance to avoid disappointment.

Suggested limits are based on Joulage Limit rules used Halo Mill: Proving Grounds, with a 350fps limit for Automatic Replicas, 400fps for Semi-Automatic Replicas, and 500fps for Bolt Action Replicas.

Tap the tabs below to open the relevant chart for your replica.

Suggested limits are based on Joulage Limit rules used Halo Mill: Proving Grounds, and is the equivalent of 350fps, using 0.20g BB resulting in an upper limit of 1.14j.
