Description
Spice up the competition with the flashy Ghost Patrol Phantom M4/AR15 Rifle, the MVP to the MVP. Boasting a competitively optimized custom build, APS have once again proven that they can really bring the heat in terms of unique designs and top quality internals to bring something truly special to the battlefield.
Featuring dazzling metallic red exterior contrasting with black body parts, this rifle screams danger, but it’s not just for show, it also demonstrates a robust build with incredible functionality.
Beginning with the tip of the rifle, we have the flash hider. For those of you who are into 3-gun style setups this attachment matches the competition style, being a muzzle break, and also adds a bit of length to your M4, making for more instinctive target to target transitions, perfect for those longer range skirmishes. Easily attached via 14mm CCW thread and locking in with a grub screw, it can however be replaced if necessary with a suppressor, for those of you who prefer a more stealthy approach or a tracer unit to further add the extravagant theme the rifle exudes.
The 13 inch handguard is a free floating design to match real steel 3-gun setup, which mainly use free floated barrels to maximize accuracy and get those hits on target. The inner 6.03mm tight bore barrel only adds to this precision.
Sitting over the barrel are the M-LOK Phantom's M-LOK handguard, which blends perfectly with the custom receiver and flash hider. With it being such a long handguard the M-LOK customisation options are as limitless as your imagination!
The negative space attachment slots are available at all 7 angles surrounding the handguard, granting you the opportunity to mount accessories in an angled position without the need for any additional mounting apparatus. Included in the box are two M-LOK 20mm Picatinny rail sections which can be mounted at a position to suit you, allowing any accessories for 20mm Picatinny rails to be mounted. At the top most part of the handguard we have a lengthy 13.5 inches worth of RIS rails, which then follow through on to the receiver, again allowing for endless adjusting of sight attachments to precisely match your specific playstyle requirements, so whatever the weather, you’re covered!
Included in the package are a set of high quality adjustable ironsights. The front sight can be adjusted by a small central dial to adjust the height, with the rear sight having a right hand dial for left/right adjustment to allow for some long distance precision shooting. The rear sight also has the option to switch between two sizes of aperture, a large setting for lower lighting conditions and a smaller setting for additional precision.
Moving rearwards to the receiver, APS has built an ultra modern and efficient body, with the unique cut vents to reduce weight and lessen wind resistance (right?) when rushing from objective to objective, in combination with the metallic red finish, you’ll shine like a crimson bolt in the process!
The receiver features a fully ambidextrous design, with the magazine release, fire selector and charging handle able to be reached on either side of the Phantom, meaning this AEG is perfect for right or left handed users. The metallic red selector and release really pop against the reinforced black polymer body, with the mag release featuring more negative space, matching the upper vents. And for you cheeky chappies out there, the fire select is set to 'no pew', 'pew' and 'pew pew pew' for safe, semi and full-auto respectively.
The rifle showcases a unique flat, speed trigger, perfect for quick response and rapid fire style of gameplay for those who love laying down as much fire as physically possible!
With the bottom most part of the trigger being angled to avoid any potential finger slippage.
An ergonomic pistol grip completes this luxury body, sporting a middle finger rest for extra grip and a textured finish on the sides, upon closer inspection the texture itself is in fact the APS logo, which is a cool little detail and comfortable to boot.
The rear of the grip sports a sturdy ridged design, there's no way this rifle is slipping out of your hand, regardless of the weather conditions.
The charging handle can be found at the top rear of the receiver and is an enlarged ambidextrous design to ensure you can find the control when you need it, even with your eyes up scanning the environment for your next target. On an Airsoft AEG, the charging handle is not used to cock the weapon but is instead used to pull the mock bolt carrier backwards either for realism sake, or to access the HOP-up.
The bolt release catch can be found just above the magazine catch and can be used to lock the mock bolt cover open for a HOP-up adjustment by pulling the charging handle back and pressing the lowermost surface of the bolt release catch down. This should hold the mock bolt to the rear, and provide access to the gear adjuster for the alloy HOP-up unit. The gear can be turned to tune the amount of backspin applied to your BBs and set the Phantom up for your ammo weight of choice. With your adjustment complete, you can now hit the upper portion of the bolt release catch which will send the mock bolt plate home with a satisfying "clank".
Towards the rear of the Phantom, the fixed buffer tube is again constructed of stylish red aluminium with a padded outer cheek rest for facial comfort and perfect sight alignment for when the rifle is locked against you as you rest your head during aiming.
It features a wide interior to hold large stick batteries, as well as an O ring to prevent water leakage.
The battery compartment of the APS Phantom can be found inside the buffer tube at the rear of the gun. The easy detach compartment can be accessed by pressing down the button at the top rear most part of the stock and rotating it 90 degrees clockwise, allowing it to then be pulled off. Inside the buffer tube you will find a Deans battery connector to which you connect your battery. For the APS Phantom, we recommend a Nuprol 7.4v 1300mAh 20c stick LiPo battery for the best combination of easy installation and performance.
Though you cannot see it from the outside, the APS Phantom is as well equipped when it comes to internals as it is externally. The well regarded APS eSilver Gearbox has been installed inside, offering a microswitch trigger, a quick change spring system with a strengthened spring guide design with built-in bearings, 8mm bushings and a bearing equipped piston head to guarantee smooth cycling and minimal stress transferred to the internal parts. The microswitch trigger works together with the SDU 2.0 MOSFET to provide an impressive trigger response, to the extent that you can hammer the trigger and almost reach full auto like speeds! The internal surfaces of the gearbox have been polished and buffed, saving you a job if you ever decide to push the Phantom even further with internal upgrades which is entirely possible thanks to the gearbox's Tokyo Marui compatibility. The SDU 2.0 also allows for programmable fire modes, meaning you can set the Phantom up for bursts of varying duration by swapping a "burst" mode for either semi-auto or full-auto. For more information on how to do this, see the "Special Instructions" section below.
So if you are looking for an exciting and lavish rifle, with a unique sense of style in M4/AR15 variety, the Ghost Patrol Phantom Rifle SDU2.0 is a flashy way to stand out from the competition and will give you that edge to really get the job done. Endlessly customizable with an extravagant feel, your opponents won’t soon forget what pipped them at the post.

Special Instructions
This AEG makes use of the APS SDU 2.0 MOSFET, allowing programmable fire modes which can be set using the controls on the gun itself.
The button to program the fire controls can be found inside the magazine well, on the right side of the gearbox shell when viewed through the magazine well with the rifle inverted.
Holding the button down until you see a red light blink twice will select the next mode in the following sequence:
Mode 1: SAFE - SEMI - FULL AUTO (default)
Mode 2: SAFE - SEMI - 3 RND BURST
Mode 3: SAFE - 2 RND BURST - FULL AUTO
Mode 4: SAFE - 3 RND BURST - FULL AUTO
Mode 5: SAFE - 3 RND BURST - 9 RND BURST
Pressing the button down until you see the red light flash twice will scroll through the fire modes to select the next mode.
For example, if you are starting on Mode 1 and you want to select Mode 4, you will need to press and hold the button down until you see the red light blink twice 3 times in succession. Following this, the SDU 2.0 will be set to Mode 4.
To restore the factory default fire control settings, select Mode 1 by double tapping the mode selection button.

Joule Charts
Special Instructions
These table can be used as a reference to see if the BB weight you are using will be over acceptable Joulage limits at some Airsoft Sites in the UK. To check if the weight can be used chrono your weapon using the BB you intend to use, and then compare it to the chart.
FPS, Power and Joule Limits can vary from site to site, so please get in touch with where you're going to play with in advance to avoid disappointment.
Suggested limits are based on Joulage Limit rules used Halo Mill: Proving Grounds, with a 350fps limit for Automatic Replicas, 400fps for Semi-Automatic Replicas, and 500fps for Bolt Action Replicas.
Tap the tabs below to open the relevant chart for your replica.
This table should be used for reference, and cannot be used to check one weight against another, as the weight of the BB affects the power.
In order to check if the BB can be used with your replica chronograph using the weight you wish to use and then compare it against the table.
Every time you change weights you will need to re-chrono and check against the table. This is not a conversion chart between weights.
Suggested limits are based on Joulage Limit rules used Halo Mill: Proving Grounds, and is the equivalent of 350fps, using 0.20g BB resulting in an upper limit of 1.14j.
