Description

Nothing beats the feeling of cocking the hammer back and seeing the cylinder turn as you line your sights up with the enemy; Revolvers have always had this old world sense of satisfaction and this Airsoft replica is no different! SRC brings us their take on an Airsoft 'wheelgun', based off the ludicrously iconic real life equivalent seen in such films as Dirty Harry, the pistol not looks the part but feel it and functions like the real thing too. This makes for a great purchase for use as a classy sidearm in a skirmish, for a suave bit of target practice, with all the joys that comes with turning that cylinder with every shot, or simply as a sweet decorative piece to display around the house.

The SRC Titan Revolver, as the name suggests has a hefty realistic weight it with a full metal construction and gleaming alloy build. The feel of this pistol is similar to the real thing has the unmistakable shape of a revolver barrel with the heat mirage reducing rib on top, and the lower part being shaped to protect the cylinder axis pin from damage. The shining finish really highlights the gracious form of the barrel and complements the revolver beautifully.

Our front sight is located atop the barrel, sporting a typical revolver style sloped front sight, angled to catch the ambient light, making the sight more visible, it's not just for show! This works in tandem with the rear sight with anti glare texture, making sight alignment a breeze, allowing you to hit those targets quickly and efficiently. The rear sight is adjustable for windage and elevation, so if you want to zero your revolver in for a little more than "combat accuracy" you can, using a flathead screwdriver. The adjustment screw on the top controls the up/down movement of the sight, and the screw on the right side moves the sight left to right.

Operating exactly like the real thing, the revolver feeds from realistic brass-coloured metal shells which are loaded with a single BB each. These shells need to be loaded into the revolver's cylinder, which rotates into position each time you pull the trigger or cock the hammer. The cylinder is accessed by pushing the release catch forward, which can be seen  on the left side of the pistol just to the rear of the cylinder itself. This will release the cylinder lock and allow the cylinder to swing open to the left side, ready for reloading. The cylinder itself sports a small textured ridge pattern, which allows for additional grippage when handling the cylinder to reload or, and let's be honest, have fun spinning the cylinder round before snapping it back in place ready to fire.

The cylinder release catch also does double duty as a hidden safety catch and can be pushed rearwards to lock the trigger of the revolver. While this isn't exactly true to life with the real world revolver it is a necessary inclusion for Airsoft skirmishing. The fact that it is hidden as a part of a realistic control means this revolver can be safe without compromising its realistic looks.

The Titan revolver features what is known as a "double-action/single-action trigger", meaning your trigger has two modes of operation: One mode is by simply pulling the trigger straight back which will cock the hammer, rotate the cylinder and release the hammer in succession, allowing for a speedy shot at the cost of a slightly heavier trigger pull. The other option is the "single action" method, which allows you to manually cock the hammer using the thumb before benefiting from the short and light pull provided by the simplified trigger function. This means you can unload on the enemy with rapid double-action shots, and take a precise single shot using the single-action function when needed.

The shells can be loaded either individually or using the included 6-shot speed loader. The speed loader functions just like a real revolver speed loader, and to fill it all you need to do is place your shells inside. The loader can then be aligned with the open cylinder and the shells can be loaded by pushing the plunger on the rear of the speed loader.

Being powered by 12g unthreaded CO2 capsules is what gives the Titan Revolver that powerful muzzle energy. The latest batch of Titan revolvers was found to shoot at around 380 FPS, so we suggest consulting your skirmish site staff before taking it into a game incase it is not allowed.

To install a CO2 bulb you only need to lift the Pistol Grip shell open, insert the bulb from the side of the grip and twist the dial at the bottom until you hear the bulb pierce. Be careful not to overtighten the dial more than needed. Picture-based instructions are included on how to install the included 20mm rails, but it is as simple as sliding into place and tightening the Allen screws (key included - Rear sights need removing to install the top rail; reinstall once rail is in place). The Revolver has a trigger lock safety which is activated by pulling back on the chamber release lever.

A great purchase for use as a classy sidearm in a skirmish, for a suave bit of target practice, with all the joys that comes with turning that cylinder with every shot.
