If you have been laced up in CQB recently, the chances are the user was sporting this or something similar! The Firehawk from G&G Airsoft is a lightweight Airsoft AEG designed to be ultra-compact and loud, providing an intimidating muzzle report and excellent rate of fire, helping you dominate the CQB battlefield!

Full description

Description

The G&G Firehawk is one of the first CQB oriented "Stubby Killer" style M4/AR15 AEGs to be released onto the market. This AEG and platforms like it are now ten a penny at Airsoft CQB sites across the country, and have found their way into even the most serious skirmishers' arsenals because if you can't beat them, join them! The widespread popularity of this AEG derives from its solid but lightweight polymer build, extensive use of 20mm Picatinny rails for attaching accessories, its compatibility with drum magazines and standard ever available M4/AR15 AEG Magazines, as well as its impressive rate of fire and trigger response. Not to mention, the ear rattling "boom" which emanates from the specifically designed sound amplifier, found attached to the AEG's 14mm CCW male threads, straight out of the box!

The Firehawk is constructed mostly from high density polymer,  keeping its overall weight extremely low and making for a highly agile close quarters battle platform. The shorty handguard is also constructed from polymer, offering scratch resistance and 20mm Picatinny rails at the 3, 6, 9, and 12 o'clock positions, allowing vertical foregrips, tactical flashlights and other accessories to be mounted with ease. The sound amplifier sits well integrated into the quad rail handguard, giving the Firehawk its sleek, yet aggressive look. Some would turn their nose up at a polymer rail system, but this has the benefit that no matter what you mount, you won't one day take it off to find your rails have had the finish damaged and scratched. Mount what you like to the Firehawk, no need to worry about scraping a thin anodized coating off and ruining the looks of your AEG!

The AEG has a polymer upper and lower receiver, with alloy trim parts such as the fire mode selector, mock bolt catch and magazine release, offering a little bit of detail for the more realism focused skirmisher. Along the top surface of the receiver, the Firehawk sports a 20mm Picatinny accessory rail, which allows optical sights such as reflex and red dot sights to be mounted for faster target acquisition. Included with the Firehawk is a set of flip-up aperture iron sights, which mount to the 20mm rail on the handguard and receiver. These sights provide two different rear apertures for aiming, one of which can be selected depending on the range of the engagement and personal preference. The sights can easily be flipped up and down by hand for storage and can be kept on the AEG as backup sights for when an optical sight is being used. The mock ejection port can be found on the right side of the upper receiver and is covered by an alloy dust cover to prevent dirt and debris from entering the AEG's internals. The charging handle, found at the rear of the upper receiver can be pulled back, which will open the dust cover, revealing the gear adjuster for the adjustable HOP up unit. Rotating this gear will increase or decrease the backspin effect applied to your BB during flight and can be used to extend the effective range of the Firehawk, and tune it for heavier ammo.

The M4/AR15 6 position buffer tube at the rear of the AEG is constructed from alloy, and is supplied with a G&G GOS-V2 Stock, but is also compatible with any aftermarket M4/AR15 AEG stock for buffer tubes. Between the buffer tube and receiver we are treated to an ambidextrous sling plate, which allows a single point sling to be mounted with ease, allowing you to free up your hands to carry out mission objectives, such as defusing mock "bombs" and capturing flags /intel when skirmishing. Within the buffer tube lies the Firehawks battery compartment, which can hold up to a 7.4V 1450mAh LiPo battery. To access the battery compartment, simply pull the locking pin in the centre of the adjustment lever of the stock all the way down and pull the stock straight off to the rear. Once you have connected the battery to the Mini-Tamiya connector within, simply pop the stock back on and you are ready to rock!

Whether you are a veteran skirmisher who has just realised a 10.5-inch barrel is no longer short enough for CQB, or you are new player with an aggressive "run and gun" playstyle, the G&G Firehawk will provide the tool you need to turn and burn up close and personal!

Firehawk HC05 Dual Sector Gear Variant

The second variant of the Firehawk has an extra trick up its sleeve. An extra gear, actually! The dual sector gear internal setup of the Firehawk HC05 increases the AEG's already above average rate of fire to a witheringly intense hail of BBs! How does it achieve this? The sector gear is responsible for retracting the piston and controlling the movement of the nozzle in an AEG gearbox. The sector gear within the HC05 gearbox provides two piston/nozzle cycles for a single rotation, meaning for every single cycle of the gearbox, the HC05 will draw the piston back twice, and fire two shots within the timeframe a normal AEG would fire one! This comes with the balancing factor that due to the intense rate of fire this platform has with the DSG setup, the semi-automatic mode has been disabled at the factory to prevent undue stress on the gearbox. This makes the HC05 Firehawk an excellent choice for an outdoors player who likes to get stuck in with a pocket LMG, and would make a fine snipers backup carbine for laying down some fire to cover your relocation!

Special Instructions

These table can be used as a reference to see if the BB weight you are using will be over acceptable Joulage limits at some Airsoft Sites in the UK. To check if the weight can be used chrono your weapon using the BB you intend to use, and then compare it to the chart.

FPS, Power and Joule Limits can vary from site to site, so please get in touch with where you're going to play with in advance to avoid disappointment.

Suggested limits are based on Joulage Limit rules used Halo Mill: Proving Grounds, with a 350fps limit for Automatic Replicas, 400fps for Semi-Automatic Replicas, and 500fps for Bolt Action Replicas.
