If you love steel in large quantities, you'll love the LK-53A3  M-LOK AEG; ETU Version from LCT! Built to an incredible standard using a stamped steel receiver and welded stamped steel cocking tube, this is about as realistic as it gets in Airsoft! Inspired by the giant MP5 or mini G3 from the real steel world, this modernised example is rocking an M-LOK handguard and 1913/20mm Picatinny stock interface at the rear, giving this boomer build some zoomer customisation options!

Inside, the LK35A3 is no slouch, based around a version 2 gearbox with 18:1 steel gears running on 9mm bushings, a polycarbonate piston with a full steel tooth rack, CNC aluminium cylinder and piston heads and a steel quick-change spring guide with ball bearings in its base to reduce wear on the gearbox shell. Also inside is an in-line MOSFET/ETU to prevent trigger lockups and 18AWG low-resistance wiring for peak electrical efficiency.

A real beast both inside and out in a head-turning design rarely seen on skirmish sites, the LCT LK53A3 brings unique custom vibes to the table in a hefty, realistic build. If you're looking for an AEG build at the peak of realism with some modern custom touches, the LCT LK-53A3 M-LOK AEG; ETU Version should be on your shopping list!

Description

If you love realism and want something which stands out, the LCT LK-53A3 M-LOK AEG; ETU Version should be in your sights! An ultra-realistic build made predominantly from stamped and milled steel, the LK-53A3 is inspired by a famous real steel platform used by the British Army as the L101A1 for close protection and direct action. This modernised version is equipped with a CNC aluminium M-LOK handguard up front and a 1913/20mm Picatinny stock interface at the rear, ready to be dressed up with cutting-edge accessories!

Inside, the LK53A3 is well equipped, rocking CNC aluminium compression parts, a polycarbonate piston with a full steel tooth rack, 18:1 ratio steel gears running on 9mm bushings, a ball bearing-equipped steel quick-change spring guide and a 22K RPM motor. Also present is an in-line MOSFET/ETU and 18AWG low-resistance wiring, preventing trigger lockups and boosting electrical efficiency. All internal parts are TM spec, meaning upgrades are a go for those who want even more!

Whether you wish the MP5 was a bit meatier or you want a pint-sized G3, the LCT LK-53A3 M-LOK AEG; ETU Version is your ideal primary. Just make sure you start hitting the gym before you get this beast in hand: it is one seriously hefty piece of kit!

Starting at the front, we can find an HK-style birdcage flash hider mounted to 14mm CCW male threads. Both the flash hider and outer barrel are made from steel, flawlessly finished to match the real thing perfectly. The HK birdcage is the perfect device for a realistic look, but if you're going sneaky or need to light the enemy team up, the 14mm CCW threading means tracers and suppressors are a go!

Moving rearwards, we come to the front sight block which is made from, you guessed it, steel! Finished in gun metal grey with an ultra-realistic separate sight post insert, this is a far cry from cheaper HK-style replicas, which almost always cast the front sight as a single piece. On the left side, we are treated to a steel sling point well-suited to HK hook slings, ready to be paired with either of the rear sling points to mount a two-point sling.

Following the front sight, we come to the handguard and cocking tube assembly. The handguard is CNC machined from aluminium and boasts M-LOK slots at 3, 6 and 9 o'clock, with additional offset slots ideally positioned for a tactical flashlight which mounts directly to M-LOK. The M-LOK handguard allows M-LOK accessories to be directly mounted, but you can also use 20mm Picatinny rail adapters for M-LOK if you prefer 20mm-compatible accessories.

The battery compartment is inside the handguard, accessible by pushing the pin in the front sight assembly through. With this done, pull the handguard forward slightly, and it should lift free. Inside, you’ll find a Deans battery connector to which you mount your chosen battery. We recommend a 7.4V 1300mAh LiPo in Flat Nunchuck configuration, but the battery compartment is rather spacious and should fit most crane-style and buffer tube style LiPos with ease.

The cocking tube is made from stamped steel and is welded to the stamped steel receiver, just like the real deal. This is a very rare feature indeed, as almost every other HK-style Airsoft replica has a separate cocking tube cast from alloy. The advantage of a welded steel cocking lever isn't limited to strength and realism; it also means you can HK slap the ever-loving-bejesus out of the LK53A3 with no worries, especially thanks to its steel charging handle!

Pulling the charging handle back and locking it up into the "safety notch" will retract the steel mock bolt carrier on the right side and open the mock ejection port, revealing the rotary HOP-up adjuster inside. The HOP-up allows you to adjust the trajectory of your BBs, accounting for different ammo weights, extending range and improving long-range accuracy. The rotary HOP-up unit is a modern design, compatible with standard AEG HOP-up buckings, nubs and barrels. With your HOP-up adjustment complete, you can give the charging handle a slap to send the mock bolt home. Trust us, the LK53A3 loves it!

Moving rearwards, we reach the stamped steel receiver, flawlessly made with a hardwearing finish. On top, we can take note of the notches on each side, designed for HK-style claw mounts for MP5 and G3 platforms to be mounted. This is the best way to get an optic on the LK53A3, but we are currently unable to confirm compatibility with aftermarket mounts other than those made by LCT.

At the top rear, we have the rear iron sight, widely regarded as the best iron sight design of the modern era. Known as "Diopter" sights, this multi-aperture sight design provides 4 different aiming apertures for different ranges, fire modes and ambient lighting levels. Selecting your preferred aperture is as simple as rotating the drum, with windage adjustment provided by the screw on the right side.

Moving down, we come to what is known as the "trigger pack" or "trigger group", aka the lower receiver. This is where you'll find the controls of the LK53A3 and the integral finger-ridged pistol grip. The fire selector switch offers 3 modes of fire, safe, semi-automatic and full automatic, realistically denoted with S-E-F (SICHER- EINZELFEUER - FEUERSTOSS) markings. The ambidextrous paddle magazine release is centrally positioned in front of the enlarged glove-friendly trigger guard, allowing for easy reloads from the left or right shoulder. The fire selector is a comfortable design with a textured surface, made from steel, as we may well assume at this point!

A secondary magazine release is positioned on the right side of the magazine well, similarly positioned to that of an AR-15, but out of reach for all but those with looong fingers. The magazine insertion method for the LK53 is a "rock and lock" motion, first requiring the front of the magazine to be indexed inside the mag well, after which you can rock the rear of the magazine into place to engage the magazine catch. The trigger is also a dead-on match for the real thing and is made from steel for a flawlessly realistic feel.

At the rear of the receiver, we can find a cutting-edge touch, a 1913/20mm Picatinny stock interface equipped with a slimline side folding stock. The 1913 interface is the latest and greatest stock mounting system from the real steel world, found built into MCX and MPX platforms and rapidly expanding by the day. Effectively a vertically positioned 20mm Picatinny rail, the 1913 interface provides plenty of built-in customisation so you can switch from an AR buffer tube to a visor stock, shorty stock or trianguar stock, and back again in minutes!

The stock itself is uniquely slim and light, inspired by 1913 "Kate Moss" stocks from the real steel world. A QD sling socket is present on either side of the CNC aluminium stock bar, ready for QD sling swivels, and the butt plate is made from strong high-density polymer with a built-in "footman loop" sling slot for conventional slings. The "rolled toe" at the bottom of the butt plate makes this stock fantastic to use with plate carriers or body armour, ideal for modern loadouts.

The stock folding mechanism is made from steel and has a buttonless design, requiring it to be lifted to fold to the left side. We find this easiest with the thumb braced on the top of the 1913 interface and fingers hooked underneath the stock bar. The lack of buttons makes this stock super-easy to operate under pressure, a significant advantage for those who like to fold their stock when negotiating tight corners.

Inside, the LK53A3 is based around a version 2 gearbox, equipped with 18:1 ratio steel gears running on 9mm bushings, a CNC aluminium piston head, a CNC aluminium cylinder head, a polycarbonate piston with a full steel tooth rack and a steel quick-change spring guide with ball bearings in its base to reduce rotational stress. To provide the necessary torque and speed for a skirmish competitive AEG, a 22,000 RPM motor is fitted, along with 18AWG low-resistance wiring and an in-line MOSFET/ETU to crank up the trigger response and prevent gearbox lockups. All internal parts are Tokyo Marui-spec, meaning a green light for aftermarket upgrades!

If you value build quality above all and want a unique primary, the LCT LK-53A3 M-LOK AEG; ETU Version belongs with you! Built to a standard few other manufacturers can match in a unique hybrid of old meets new, the LK-53A3 is a true beauty, which brings the pain on game day as a bonus!
