The SA-J72 from Specna Arms is designed to replicate the real steel AKS-74M, a modernisation of the AKS-74, the original side folding AK rifle. This AK uses the VFC style of external construction, meaning pins and rivets instead of screws, a skeleton side folding stock made from steel and as close as is possible to realistic disassembly with an AEG.

The SA-J72 weighs a mere 2.5kg approximately, and Specna gets away with this with a high density polymer receiver, gas tube and gas block which has the added benefit of increasing the rifle's resistance to scratches.
