Description

Specna Arms have made a name for themselves by producing Airsoft replicas with stunning external build quality, coupled with top-shelf internals and attractively priced to make high performance affordable for all Airsofters. In an interesting turn of events, they have now turned their sights to the Bolt Action Sniper Rifle market, creating the SA-S03 M40A5.

The Sniper Rifle is built to an amazing standard as you would expect, using N-Core reinforced Polymers to create a body which is bulky and satisfying to shoulder, tough enough to go the extra mile and yet still lightweight enough to make this a manageable rifle.

The upper receiver and all external trim components such as the cheek rest and trigger well are made from Alloy with a Nano Coating finish that protects the metalwork from scratches. The rifle comes included with a 20mm rail piece for the handguard, which allows you to attach laser/light accessories and requires fixing to the body via self-tapping screws. The upper receiver also features a 20mm rail which is ready for the included scope or any other optics you may have lying about.

Just to the right of the bolt handle you will find the safety lever, which blocks off the trigger from use when it is in the rear position. The HOP adjust can be found along the side of the handguard when the rifle is fully built, and is an easy to use slider adjust which simply needs pushing backwards/forwards to use. We recommend the use of a heavyweight BB (0.3g+) and the perfect setting of the HOP unit to get the most out of this rifle.

The adjustable cheek rest at the back is perfect for those who want to be able to return to the same position on the scope every time for accurate, consistent shots, and the adjustable stock length means you can get it feeling just right, no matter your size. There are QD sling sockets on the front and rear of the stock, allowing you to create some interesting sling setups. Included in the box are three 20rnd magazines, a Harris style bipod, a 3-9x32 magnified optic and scope mounts; everything you need to get started sniping right out of the box.

If you're looking for a sniper rifle which is built to a crazy high standard, has everything you need to go right out of the box, has smooth and consistent performance without too much setup, and is reasonably priced, the SA-S03 M40A5 is just the ticket.

Special Instructions

When assembling the SA-S03 CORE™ Sniper Rifle w/Scope & Bipod it is important that the rearmost screw in the stock is not over tightened. We suggest tightening the screw until it is hand tight but not cranking it down as this can often cause damage to the cylinder and render the rifle inoperable.

These table can be used as a reference to see if the BB weight you are using will be over acceptable Joulage limits at some Airsoft Sites in the UK. To check if the weight can be used chrono your weapon using the BB you intend to use, and then compare it to the chart.

FPS, Power and Joule Limits can vary from site to site, so please get in touch with where you're going to play with in advance to avoid disappointment.

Suggested limits are based on Joulage Limit rules used Halo Mill: Proving Grounds, with a 350fps limit for Automatic Replicas, 400fps for Semi-Automatic Replicas, and 500fps for Bolt Action Replicas.

This is an excellent beginners sniper rifle. It comes with all the things you need for ranged eliminations; a bipod and a scope. The bolt pull is quite hard to move at first. It needs some lubricant to get it moving smoothly. Once you have worked the bolt it becomes easier for quick follow up shots. However the position of the bolt and the scope I have a problem with. The scope of quite low on the rifle and to get a clear picture through the scope you need it quite close to your eye. If you move the scope back too far though it gets in the way of your hand operating the bolt. I’m finding that I’m knocking the scope when I’m rechambering a bb. I would suggest some piccatinny risers to move the scope up slightly so the bolt is easier to operate. Other than that it is a fun rifle for both target shooting and firing on site
