T238 Tracer/RGB Rainbow Burst Flash Unit for Airsoft Shotguns

Tri-shot users finally have a tracer unit, and what a tracer unit! The T238 Tracer/RGB Rainbow Burst Flash Unit offers a plethora of functionality in a single, compact unit and for those who don't own a shotgun, it can be used with standard AEGs too with the included 14mm CCW thread adapter, and potentially some sniper rifles, as long as the barrel's outer diameter is between 19 and 24mm. 

This tracer unit can be used as a standard tracer, a tracer with a flash effect or with the flash effect only, allowing you to keep the muzzle flash turned on and light up the first meter or so of your BBs trajectory even if you don't use tracer BBs without wasting power by activating the UV LED. This also gives the option of running the unit in tracer only mode so you don't give away your position with the indiscrete but super bright flash function. The flash effect is provided by a tri-LED array at the front of the unit, so unlike other muzzle flash tracers, this one lights the entire room up and gives your BBs a multicolour streak as they leave the barrel!

The unit can be mounted using the variable barrel clamp mount built into the unit itself and fits outer barrels between 19mm and 24mm outer diameter, meaning it can be mounted on almost every Airsoft shotgun on the market (tri or single shot) and can also be added to Airsoft sniper rifles with unthreaded barrels as long as the outer diameter of the barrel at the tip is between 19 and 24mm. To mount the unit you will need to loosen the two Allen bolts at the top rear of the unit, slide it onto the barrel and then tighten the bolts down again. 

Included in the box are a 14mm CCW thread adapter and a 16mm unthreaded adapter, either of which can be mounted to an AEG or GBBR platform and the unit mounted over the top as described above. A bonus of this mounting style is that you can mount the included adapters to different platforms and switch the tracer between guns easily without having to take the adapters off. 

The Tracer/RGB Rainbow Burst Flash Unit has a rechargeable battery built in which can be recharged using the Micro-USB port at the front. The Micro-USB port is covered by a well-fitted aluminium cap which can be removed by sliding it upwards and off the unit. The rechargeable battery keeps things economical, just make sure you remember to charge it up before game day!

Operating instructions for the T238 Tracer/RGB Rainbow Burst Flash Unit can be found below:

Activating/Deactivating the unit 

The activation button for the unit is located on the rear of the body, facing the shooter when installed on a gun. 

A short press on the activation button will power the unit on, after which you can set the unit up for your desired mode of operation. 

A long press (2 seconds) will power the unit down which will be indicated with the front LED array first lighting up, then slowly dimming until it turns off. 

Setting the Flash Mode colour

The default mode of operation is "Rainbow + Tracer Mode", which will illuminate tracer BBs and provide the Rainbow flash effect. A subsequent short press with allow you to cycle between the 8 different flash effect modes:

1. Rainbow
2. Red
3. Yellow
4. Green
5. Cyan
6. Blue
7. Pink
8. White

Each mode will be confirmed with the frontal LED array flashing in the selected colour. We recommend not looking directly at the array while doing this, it is exceptionally bright!

Using the unit without Flash Mode (Tracer only)

To deactivate the Flash Effect mode and set the unit up for Tracer mode only requires a 2-second press on the activation button while in the "Rainbow" Flash Mode. The unit will confirm the mode selected by flashing the internal UV LED once. 

Using the unit without Tracer Mode (Flash only)

Flash only mode can be set after setting the unit to "Tracer only". When in Tracer only mode (instructions above), the unit can be changed to Flash only mode with a 2-second press to deactivate the Tracer mode and activate the Flash only. 

Flash only will illuminate standard BBs for their first meter or so of flight, and the unit will confirm the selected mode with a single flash from the LED array at the front. 

With Flash only mode set, you can scroll between different flash effect modes as described above in the "Setting the Flash Mode colour" section, using a short press to cycle through the available colour modes.
