The handguard comes complete with an aluminium barrel nut and steel mounting bolts and boasts M-LOK attachment slots at the, 6, and 9 o'clock positions, with a full-length 20mm Picatinny rail up top. You will never be short of sling mounting options with this handguard on your gat; the Middy boasts a total of 5, count'em, 5 QD sling sockets, giving you all the options under the sun on how you set up your sling.

Description
The HASTA Middy Free Float M-LOK Handguard for M4/AR-15 is constructed from CNC machined aluminium and is supplied with an aluminium barrel nut, saving a bit of weight when compared to the usual steel barrel nut. Pound for pound, very few handguards can match the Middy when it comes to accessory mounting options while keeping the weight this low. If your AR platform is on a diet and you are trying to shave off every last gram of excess mass, the Middy will suit your build perfectly.
As with other HASTA handguards, the Middy is available in 7, 9, 10 and 12-inch varieties, giving you an option for any build style, whether you are kitting out your primary for CQB or you are building a DMR to subject the enemy to some long range harassment. All length options boast a grand total of 5 QD sling sockets, with a pair at the base of the handguard, one on each side, and 3 at the front at the 3, 6 and 9 o'clock positions.
The Middy is equipped with a full length 20mm Picatinny rail at the 12 o'clock position, ready for a PEQ or DBAL and any other 20mm accessories you choose to mount. M-LOK slots are available a the 3, 6 and 9 o'clock positions, allowing M-LOK grips, bipods, handstops and flashlight mounts to be fitted, to name but a few!
The Middy is also designed to be comfortable when used slick thanks to the rounded profile and semi-circular relief cuts providing extra grip for wet weather operations. While rail covers are a great way to improve handling, this certainly isn't the type of handguard that needs them to avoid feeling like a cheese grater!
