The Zion Arms PW9 MOD.1 follows the AR-9 design format but is constructed with a CNC 7075 T6 aluminium receiver and handguard making it lighter than a beachball while maintaining superb strength. Unlike many other Airsoft AR-9 SMGs, the PW9 is based on a real steel design, the R&D Precision PW9, and boasts licenced trademarks on its handguard as a homage to the real thing.
The story only gets sweeter when it comes to internals! Inside the PW9 we are treated to a polished 6.03mm tightbore inner barrel, rotary HOP-up unit, a quick change ball bearing spring guide, 19K RPM high-speed motor and the Zion Arms Nebula ETU to top it all off. The Nebula allows you to program the trigger for burst modes of different durations and also improves trigger response and rate of fire by reducing electrical resistance. The PW9 is Zion Arms' AR9 AEG offering, boasting CNC machined 7075 T6 Aluminium parts, a reinforced gearbox brimming with upgraded components, a tightbore barrel and of course, the Nebula MOSFET/ETU to top it all off. The PW9 also boasts licencing from the manufacturers of the real SMG, R&D Precision of Arizona, USA. The PW9 makes use of 9mm styled magazines, patterned after pistol calibre carbines popular on the US real steel market, and is compatible with the gold standard in 9mm Airsoft mags; the PTS Syndicate EPM-AR9 mid-cap magazine.
For the 5.56 fans, Zion Arms offers the R15, making use of many of the same parts used in the PW9 including the Nebula MOSFET, licenced R&D Precision handguard, tightbore inner barrel and rotary HOP-up unit. With its own uniquely designed CNC 7075 T6 aluminium receiver and compatibility with M4/AR-15 mags, the R15 offers those who already have a collection of M4/AR-15 AEG mags an easy transition to a Zion Arms platform.
