Description

If your looking to start out your Airsoft sniper loadout, you'd be hard pressed to find a better candidate than the Snow Wolf VSR-10. While it retains the iconic Model 700 aesthetics, this variant includes a removable foam filled suppressor to really get you on the ground running (and sniping). Included in the box is the Rifle itself, a 25rnd Magazine and a Speedloader.

While the body and stock of the sniper is constructed from tough, but lightweight polymer the Snow Wolf VSR-10 features an alloy outer barrel assembly and receiver / bolt assembly. This brings the Rifle to a well weighted, but easily carried 2.15kg. This means that the rifle has a good balance when aiming, but is light enough to spring from cover to cover and sniper nest to sniper nest. Being that this rifle is a VSR-10 design, it is widely compatible with a huge range of aftermarket accessories, modifications and parts, making it a great choice for those looking for a platform to get started on their sniper loadout, that can be tweaked, customised and added to easily later on down the line.

At the front of the gun, we have the included suppressor, which immediately sets this product apart from the vast majority of VSRs and snipers in general. The suppressor measures a lengthy 20cm and is foam fill, to provide that delicious sound dampening we all love from shots fired at targets a great distance away. The suppressor does not extend the inner barrel, and usually, this is seen as a disadvantage, but fear not! Because this rifle shoots at an impressive 400FPS (often over), there is no need to increase the barrel length and you will always know where you stand if you ever decide to replace the suppressor with an aftermarket alternative down the line. Speaking of which the suppressor is attached using the standard 14mm CCW thread that the vast majority of tactical muzzle devices use.

Much like the suppressor, the barrel is constructed from lovely brushed alloy for a balanced weight while aiming. Both the internal and external barrel measure a comfortable 13 inches, not too long and not too short. Just behind the muzzle is the port hole style compensator and while this doesn't have any effect on this Airsoft replica, it a nice feature to have to keep it in line with its real world counterparts.

The top of the Rifle features a 20mm Rail which can be used to install Sights and Scopes to really maximise your performance on the field. Ideally suited to a Magnified Optic, this rail can be used to mount anything from a Red Dot Sight to a 9-24x50mm Hunting Scope. The end of the Outer Barrel Assembly features a 14mm CCW Thread, which only needs the Thread Protector unscrewing from the Rifle to access. It will then accept any standard Airsoft Suppressor, which can be used either for looks, to dampen the muzzle report of the Rifle or to hide an Inner Barrel Extension.

The Adjustable sliding HOP unit can be adjusted by moving the Slider found between the Barrel and Stock, near the Magazine well. This applies backspin to your BBs and help them stay in the air for longer, which is especially effective when combined with heavyweight BBs (0.30g+).

On the underside of the stock you will find a Sling Loop at the front and rear, for the connection of traditional slings, as well as a Harris bipod lug for (you guessed it...) a Harris Style Bipod such as ASG Universal Bipod w/ 20mm Rail Adapter. The rear of the rifle has a thick Rubber butt pad which is comfortable and provides a good grip when shouldered, to help you make every shot count.

If you're looking for a highly realistic spring sniper rifle which can accept a huge range of aftermarket goodies, that shoots at around 400 FPS out of the box. You'd be hard pressed to find a better beginner rifle at this price point. With lightweight, but tough polymer body to keep you light in the field, while retaining the alloy barrel and furnishings to keep things well weighted and realistic, this VSR-10 is an easy choice for any budding sniper.
