Description
Introducing the Cyclops Tactical LED Flashlight/Grip Combo for 20mm Rails, Vector Optics' gift to skirmishers who run short barreled CQB-optimised primary weapons. This flashlight/vertical grip combo is designed in the spirit of the Surefire M910 series of flashlights but is far smaller, lighter and more useful for CQB players.
The flashlight has a centrally positioned activation switch on the back of the light, sitting well within reach of the thumb for either left or right-handed shooters. The switch can be pressed in until it clicks for constant-on functionality, or pressed lightly for momentary on. You can even hit it quickly to disorient the enemy team as you enter a room in a similar manner to a stroboscopic mode, providing a lot of functionality in a single button.
The batteries are housed inside the grip section of the flashlight which allows it to take up far less space on your primary than a traditional horizontally oriented light. The light requires 2x CR123a cells and can use either standard cells or rechargeable ones. The battery compartment can be accessed by unthreading the base of the grip which is nice and easy thanks to its knurled surface.
So, if you run a compact weapon like an AR-9 with a super short front end, consider this as a way to save weight and space! The advantages of doing two things with one accessory are evident, and this is made all the sweeter with the Cyclops' intuitive, robust and simple design, and its scorchingly bright LED!
