Description

The CYMA CM.708-U is an upgraded, tune-up version of one of their classic sniper designs. With a modern and modular build that is spring powered and constructed from a mix of alloy and high-density polymer, the rifle is great for those of you wanting to dip your toes into the world of Airsoft sniping and fancy something lightweight, but well-balanced to get skirmishing with.

The outer barrel assembly, receiver, stock, bolt assembly and other trim aspects of the rifle are made from alloy, whereas the chassis/stock, pistol grip, stock pads and faux magazine are made from a high-density polymer that looks and feels amazing, and makes the rifle very tough. The chassis is a lightweight sporting/military design that helps keep weight down and is comfortable to carry/use throughout a day's skirmishing.

The front of the rifle features a 14mm CCW thread that comes with an enlarged muzzle brake installed out of the box and gives the sniper a fierce, aggressive look. The muzzle break can always be removed by simply unscrewing it, allowing you to install your choice of tactical muzzle devices, such as suppressors or tracer units.

Of course, this wouldn't be a real sniper without a more than adequate 23-inch barrel now would it? The barrel itself is constructed from smooth, brushed alloy for a sleek, but low-key aesthetic. The receiver has a 20mm rail so that you can easily install sights and scopes to use the rifle at the range it was supposed to be used!

A Harris-style bipod lug can be found under the handguard, allowing you to install a Harris bipod, or simply use it as a physical sling loop by adding a keyring chain or similar loop. A trigger-lock safety can be found near the bolt handle, which will prevent the trigger from being pulled when it is engaged.

Featuring an enlarged, modern design, the bolt features a semi-rounded, angular shape, that is easily racked with or without gloves on. The cut grooves on the side also add to the friction between you and the bolt, allowing you to quickly and smoothly load your shots and pick off the enemy with speed!

The pistol grip is that of an ergonomic finger-ridged design, meaning that the grip is moulded to your hand for additional stability when gripped and more importantly, additional stability when aiming at targets! The grip also features enlarged sides, a slight rear side and palm extrusion in addition to a stippled texture for a comfortable hold when gripped with or without gloves.

The stock is a modern, lightweight design that can be fully adjusted with regard to the length of the stock pad and the height of the cheek pad. The controls are operated by turning the threaded dials to make adjustments. A set of QD sling sockets can be found on the stock and handguard, for the connection of quick-release sling loops, allowing you to quickly and easily connect/disconnect a sling system.

The rifle comes included with a 40rnd magazine, which is extremely slim and lightweight, being made from polymer. They are easy enough to carry on your person in bulk. They are filled using the included speedloader to force BBs into the top. This means that for those of you just getting into the sport, this is a perfect purchase. The 'magazine' visible in the gun is just for show, and the real magazine is installed at the front of the Rifle like a VSR-type rifle.

The HOP Adjustment is performed inside the magazine Well via 2 x grub screws and features two points of adjustment rather than just one. This is great news for snipers that struggle with their BBs pulling to one side, as you can now correct this by adjusting the HOP unit accordingly.

These table can be used as a reference to see if the BB weight you are using will be over acceptable Joulage limits at some Airsoft Sites in the UK. To check if the weight can be used chrono your weapon using the BB you intend to use, and then compare it to the chart.

FPS, Power and Joule Limits can vary from site to site, so please get in touch with where you're going to play with in advance to avoid disappointment.

Suggested limits are based on Joulage Limit rules used Halo Mill: Proving Grounds, with a 350fps limit for Automatic Replicas, 400fps for Semi-Automatic Replicas, and 500fps for Bolt Action Replicas.
