At Patrol Base Ltd we adhere to the Customer Contracts Regulations for distance selling, which came in to force 13 June 2004, and implement the Consumer Rights Directive.
This set of regulations are designed to give you rights when shopping online, so you're covered if things go wrong.
These rights apply to orders which have been made Online, over the Phone, or otherwise off-premises from one of our Retail Stores.
When purchasing an item online you have the following rights, which applies to all Online Purchases, even orders made with other Retailers:
- You have the right to cancel an order for goods made at a distance starts when you receive the goods and lasts for 14 days.
- You have the right to cancel a service made at a distance starts the moment you enter the contract and lasts 14 days.
- Companies are not allowed to charge you for items they put in your online shopping basket automatically, or for items that have been added as a result of a pre-ticked box.
When selling online we, the trader, must supply the following:
- A description of the goods, or service.
- The total price of the goods, or how the price will be calculated if this can't be determined
- How you will pay for the goods, and when they will be provided to you
- Notify you of any additional costs that may be incurred, such as for postage
- Detail who pays for the cost of returns items
- Details of the right to cancel
- Information about ourselves, including our address and contact details
At Patrol Base we try to make this information as clear as possible, with all product details being as up to date as possible on our website, and the ability to calculate delivery times in the basket. Any additional information you may require will be displayed during the checkout process.
For more information please see:
The Consumer Contracts Regulations also give you specific rights when you place an order at a distance over the phone, online, or from a catalogue.
Your right to cancel an order for goods, which starts the moment you place your order, and ends 14 days from the day you receive your goods.
If your order consists of multiple goods, the 14 day period runs from when you get the last of the batch.
This 14 day period is the time you have to decide whether to cancel, you then have a further 14 days to actually send the goods back.
If your items are to be modified we can cancel your order as long as the modification process has not already begun. For example, if you order a Two-Tone product we cannot cancel the order if the work has already begun.
For more information please see:
There are some circumstances where the Consumer Contacts Regulations won't give you a right to cancel.
Examples of this are:
- Items which are tailor made or personalised, such as a Two Toned or Customised Workshop Item
- Goods that have been mixed inseparably with other items after delivery
For more information please see:
The Consumer Rights Act, which came into force in October 2015 says the retailer is responsible for the condition of the goods until the goods are received by you, or by someone else you have nominated to receive them on your behalf, such as a neighbour.
The retailer is liable for the services provided by the couriers it employs, the delivery firm is not liable.
If your delivery is later than agreed, you have the right to cancel the purchase and get a full refund.
Here at Patrol Base we offer an option to calculate delivery time through the Basket, and will notify you via pop-up on the checkout if any services you have chosen will increase your delivery time (Such as a Two Tone Service).
1.5 - Your refund rights
You should receive a refund within 14 days (or sooner) of either the trader getting the goods back, or you providing evidence of having returned the goods (such as a proof of postage receipt), whichever is sooner.
A deduction can be made to the total refund amount if the returns method was excessive, such as sending the parcel via a special service or expedited service.
The extent to which you can handle the goods is the same as it would be if you were viewing them in a shop. This means the item cannot be in a used or worn state, such as been played with, covered in mud, or scratced, the only exception being where the item is faulty.
Here at Patrol Base we attempt to refund you as soon as possible, depending on your payment method. A refund via Pay Pal is usually Instant, however a refund via a Bank Transfer can take longer dependant on your Bank Services.
For more information please see:

We try to ensure our website is as accurate and as up to date as we can possibly make it, but we reserve the right to make changes and (because we are human) to make the occasional error.
Do not copy anything from our websites other than for your own use; please do not modify Content such as Text, Images, Video, or Audio and then redistribute them; and please don't use them to conduct activities that breach any laws or infringe any third party's rights
Do not copy our content for use on 3rd Party websites without our express permission, or for use on any Competitor Websites or marketing. Any infringement of our Intellectual Property, be it: Text, Images, Video or Audio will be pursued.
We want you to be absolutely happy with our products and services, so we provide the simple Patrol Base guarantee: if on receiving your item you are unhappy with your item for any reason than simply send it back to us. If you make a mistake, or change your mind we will replace or refund any items which are returned within 14 days, which are complete and in as new condition. This includes all packaging and extra / gift / included items, so please do not use the box as a makeshift target.
This guarantee ensures that if you are unsure about what you are purchasing you have the peace of mind of knowing that we are here to help.
Please note that only standard products can be returned for a refund. We cannot accept back any item that has been made to order i.e. Custom Two Tone Airsoft Equipment or Custom Guns.
4.1 - FPS Limits
The stated Feet Per Second (FPS) listed is based on the first unit taken into stock from our suppliers. Subsequent units on new deliveries or new production runs may deviate from this figure substantially.
Before dispatch we check all weapon Power / FPS Levels ourselves in store using SKANAR Brand Chronometers before dispatch in accordance with UK Laws (VCRA, Violent Crimes Reduction Act 2006).
If the power level of the unit is of particular importance to you, the end user, please Contact Us prior to your purchase and we will try our best to cater to your needs.
4.2 - 11.1V LiPo
11.1V LiPo batteries are for use in highly tuned and modified AEGs ONLY. The use of an 11.1V LiPo, 10.8V NiMh/NiCd or higher voltages voids all warranty on all AEGs supplied by us, Patrol Base Ltd, unless specified by ourselves. This includes units where Manufacturers, suppliers, other retailers or the Airsoft media state that a unit is 11.1V LiPo ready.
11.1v LiPo Batteries may be used in guns where we have specifically specified or stated that the item is suitable for 11.1v LiPo in the Product Specification or Description.
Please note, we can only accept returns which are returned to us unmodified from their original state. This includes changes or permanent modifications to the Internal or External components of the weapon, included but not limited to: Gearbox Work (Such as Gears, Pistons, Triggers, Nozzles and Motor), or Barrel Cutting, Changing, Spraying of the Weapon, Removal of Two-Tone. This includes disassembly weapons, with the exception of expected maintenance (Such as Pistol Cleaning, or Barrel Cleaning).
We cannot accept returns which have had work carried out by other Retailers, or Airsoft Techs such as an attempted repair.
If any problems arise from user error we cannot accept a return, however we will help you in repairing the problem. Examples of User Error are, and not limited to:
We do understand that users like to modify their weapons, however, once a permanent modification has been made, or if the weapon has been taken apart outside of expected maintenance (Such as Pistol Cleaning, or Barrel Cleaning).
Typically, stripping and cleaning a pistol only entails splitting the Slide and Frame, and cleaning the Barrel, wiping dirt from moving parts and applying fresh lubricant. Removing parts, such as the trigger mechanism, and damaging them is considered user error.
Typically, stripping and cleaning an AEG / Gas Blowback Rifle entails removing the inner barrel for cleaning. Any further work, such as Gearbox Maintenance, should be carried out by our Shop Technicians.
For further help on maintaining weapons please free to call us on 01484 644709.
Please don't use Cheap / Low Quality BBs in Airsoft Replicas supplied by us, if we find evidence that low quality BB have been used we cannot accept a return. Unfortunately, more and more RIFs booked in to our workshop with damage caused by a poor choice of BB. Poor quality BB’s are BB’s which have been manufactured in a location with poor quality control, resulting in ammo which breaks easily, has mold lines, injection marks or poor weighting ratio. We recommend using BBs supplied by: ASG, G&G, King Arms, and Amoeba. If we feature the BBs on our website they are safe to use with your Airsoft Weapons.
Although Airsoft Guns are typically built and designed to last they are Toys, and are not manufactured to the same quality as Real Firearms. As such, dropping, hitting, throwing, and dipping in mud can cause permanent damage to Airsoft Replicas. We cannot accept returns of weapons that have been obviously mistreated, with parts missing and broken.
Please ensure that when charging batteries the correct Charging unit is used. For example, do not use a Li-Po Charger to charge a Ni-Mh battery, or a Ni-Mh Charger to charge a Li-Po Battery. Please read all supplied instructional material, as we cannot accept the return of items damaged in this way.
High Voltage / Discharge batteries can cause permanent damage to AEG internals.
For more information please see: 3 - Weapon Specifics.
Unfortunately we cannot accept returns of Batteries and Chargers that comes supplied in a bundle with a weapon as these are considered free gifts and are typically of a lower quality than other available chargers and batteries. For example, batteries supplied for free with weapons usually features a low mAh rating and feature a low charge capacity.
We recommend that when purchasing an Airsoft Weapon you also purchase a new Battery and Charger (if required) for maximum reliability.
We cannot accept the return of items which have been taken apart using the wrong tools, or have had screws, nuts or bolts damaged due to mistreatment. Please ensure that you do not use Ball Headed Allen Keys on any Airsoft Equipment, as this can lead to threading and serious damage.
Please note, this includes all screws and nuts, including the Quick Change Spring Release Nut at the back of some receivers.
Do not use lubrication during maintenance which is not designed for use with Airsoft Products. We cannot accept returns, or honour warranty, of weapons which have been damaged through the use of inappropriate lubricants.
Examples of an appropriate range of lubricants are the Abbey range of Lubricants.
Examples of inappropriate lubricants are: WD40, Abrasive Lubricants, and Mineral Oil based Lubricants.
We recommend that you only use the lubricants available through our website, if you are unsure of what to use please get in touch with us via our Contact Us page.
We are always happy to try and price match our products with lower prices online or in store.
For more information please see our Price Match Promise Information Page.
We try to make sure that pricing is as accurate as possible. The correct price for any product is that displayed on the website at the time we receive your order. If we make a mistake on price and it is higher than it should be then we will refund the difference.
We will always try to give you the best possible deals and to be as fair as possible on price.
If an item is on sale, it might have been sold in our retail store. If so, the 'was' price will always be the highest price in the last 12 months via any of our companies, and it will have been at that price for at least 28 consecutive days. The 'now' price will always be the lowest price it has ever been via any of our companies, websites or retail store.
We also try to make sure that stock levels are as accurate as possible, and we always try to keep items in stock ready to be sent to you as soon as you want them (this includes our suppliers where some items are delivered directly to you).
Items on sale might run out at any time. Once we have run out of stock we will not be able to accept any orders for the item.
Orders are only accepted when we dispatch them. We might not be able to accept your order if:
- Your funds don't clear, whether you are paying by credit card or cheque
- We have made a pricing or product description error
- A product is out of stock, is not available, or was a sale item and all stock has cleared
- We believe you are not using our website responsibly
- Attempt to use a PayPal Cheque
We care a lot about protecting you from fraud. If we suspect that your card has been stolen and someone else is using it then we will not sell the goods to them. For this reason, we reserve the right to refuse any order.
We accept credit card and debit card payments via our secure website, or over the phone.
Fore more information please get in touch via our Contact Us Page.

Patrol Base Limited provide a service where Airsoft models/realistic imitation firearms (RIFs) can be altered from their original state by covering a substantial proportion of the RIF with a bright colour. We reserve the right to coat or paint whatever parts of the RIF we deem necessary for the RIF to be a 'two tone'. We will always make every attempt to minimise colour on areas of perceived wear but this can not be guaranteed in all cases. Similar RIF models could, in some cases, be painted differently.
A two tone service can take up to five working days to complete from the first full business day after the purchase date.
The intent of the service is to provide an option to purchase an Airsoft model/RIF for those who are 18 years of age and above and who do not hold a recognised valid Airsoft Defence*.
The onus is on the seller of a RIF to make sure they only sell to a legitimate purchaser, prosecution could result as a failure to do this.
The only groups of persons now allowed to purchase RIF's are Film,TV, Museums, Theatres, Crown Servants, and persons engaged in Historical Military Re-enactment activities, and of course regular airsoft skirmishers. All these purchasers must be over 18 years of age.
The service is a paid for addition to a RIF purchase. We do not provide the service for RIFs purchased at another retailer. Due to the nature of some substrates the coating/paint may be removed on points of abrasion wear such as hand guards, pistol grips, pistol slides and rifle stocks. We do not warrant the paint finish quality or adhesion properties. If we use Krylon the paint is said, by the manufacturer, to be 'chip resistant' after seven days. We do not guarantee a 'standard' of paint finish or coverage.
Solvents, oils etc may have an adverse effect on the paint and may in some cases cause accelerated wear. As we often are able to ship a two tone prior to the elapse of the seven day cure time some paint may wear off on high points whilst in transit. If you would like you two tone purchase to be shipped after the seven day cure time please telephone the office as soon after placing the order as possible.
Although we may be able to fulfil and deliver your order before the seven day cure time we do not recommend handling the two tone areas until this time has elapsed.
We limit the amount of overspray where possible to minimise any effect on the correct function of the RIF. Some overspray may be present where masking is favoured over complicated disassembly.
If for any reason the above terms are in anyway unacceptable you then please do not order the service. Placing and completing a two tone order on our website or in store means you have read and accepted the above terms.
NB - to remove a two tone coating or paint *could* be construed as 'manufacturing a realistic imitation firearm' and as such that person could be prosecuted.
Ref: Violent Crimes Reduction Act 2006 section 36 (1) (b)
In order to purchase an Airsoft Weapon, also known as a Replica Imitation Firearm, you must be over 18. This applies to both weapons in standard Military Colours as well as Two Toned Weapons.
When ordering you will be asked to confirm your Age which will be stored against the order as proof, and if required we reserve the right to put your order on hold until we have received proof that you are over 18.
The images of the Two Tone Guns on our website are preview images, meaning that the colours highlight the areas which are likely to be painted, the finished product may appear different to the image online.
The final product you receive will be painted with Spray Paint, meaning the finish will be different. There may be colour variations based on the application. For more information please see 2.4 - Paint and Colour Variations.
The brand of paint we use is Krylon Spray Paint, however, subject to availability we may have to use an alternative paint, as such this may result in a light colour variance from weapon to weapon.
The colour of the paint may also change shade slightly based on the base colour of the weapon. A darker base colour will result in a slightly darker shade, and a lighter base colour will result in a lighter shade.
The colours will be as close to the preview pictures as possible, however, there could be slight variations depending on the application.
Once painted we are unable to take the product back for a refund or store credit.
If on receipt a weapon is faulty then contact us immediately. Please Do not under any circumstances attempt to diagnose or fix any issues by disassembling the RIF in any way no matter how small. Any attempt to do this will invalidate your option to have the issue diagnosed and if applicable, Tone fixed at no cost to yourself.
Once a two tone order is placed the two tone service could begin immediately. If once an order has been placed you wish to cancel you must call us immediately and confirm with a member of staff that you wish to cancel. If work has started on the RIF we may not be able to provide a refund for that part of the order.
If a painted weapon has been modified, such as purposefully removing the paint, we will no longer warranty your weapon.
Depending on the frequency, and type of use, the paint may begin to wear off. Please note we cannot accept responsibility for paint wear during use.
Typical places for this type of wear are on the Cheek Rest and Handguard, due to these parts being high contact areas with Gloves and Masks.
We reserve the right to hold your order should we be required to stop your parcel for legal reasons. If we hold your parcel we will attempt to contact you immediately, and attempt to re-contact you every few days.
Should we not be able to contact within an appropriate ammount of time we will cancel your order, and refund you.
Below are some possible reasons for orders being held:
- Your Defence is not Valid
- The name on your Defence is different to the one provided with the Defence
- Your Address does not match the Address on your Defence
