Evolution E-416 CQB RAHG ETS

The Evolution Airsoft E416 AEG is amongst the most well-equipped out-of-the-box AEG we sell. The plethora of internal upgrades present in this replica even stumps the high standards already set by Evolution Airsoft's other guns! A huge manufacturer based in Italy, we haven't been stocking Evolution Airsoft guns until recently, but something tells me they are here to stay...

The externals of the E416 are absolutely breathtaking. Starting from the tip, we have a bright orange polymer flash hider pre-installed. Don't panic! It includes a well-finished matt black alloy birdcage flash hider included in the box. The flash hider attaches to the 10" aluminium outer barrel via a male14mm CCW thread. The RAHG style M-LOK rail system is professionally CNC machined from Aircraft-grade aluminium and features 7 rows of RAHG attachment points at practically all positions of the clock, giving you the ability to mount accessories such as tactical lights, vertical foregrips and LAM units wherever you need them. 

The RAHG style rail also features 4 steel QD sling sockets, two at the muzzle end and two at the receiver end, with each side furnished to aid left-handed users. The rail system connects to the receiver in a monolithic manner, allowing the use of longer optical sights such as Short-dot style scopes and Holographic sights with magnifiers. Installed on the upper Picatinny rail you will find a set of multi-aperture diopter sights offering fast target acquisition at close range and pinpoint accuracy for long-range shots. 

The receiver is of a standard AR15 design, with the left side featuring the 3-position fire selector and mock bolt release, with the mock ejection port, forward assist and magazine release present on the right side. The pistol grip is of a 416 ergonomic style, featuring texturing on the sides and rear of the grip and a finger grove on the front, allowing you to maintain a firm hold of the rifle in all weather conditions. The grip also features tool-less access to the motor, should you need to adjust it. At the rear of the upper receiver, we can find the charging handle which has an extended latch installed. When pulled to the rear, the charging handle reveals the rotary hop adjuster within the mock ejection port. 

At the rear of the rifle, there is a steel buffer plate featuring sling points on either side and an AR15 style buffer tube which is compatible with the vast majority of aftermarket AR15 AEG stocks. The stock included on the rifle is of the 416 crane style. To access the battery compartment, simply turn the rubber butt plate counterclockwise by 90 degrees when looking down the barrel of the gun from the butt. The stock itself features a low profile adjustment lever, reducing the probability of snagging the weapon on your gear, and includes two sling points moulded into the top of the stock, and a slot through the centre. This rifle definitely has no shortage of sling points! The polymer used in the pistol grip and stock is of excellent quality, with a smooth but textured surface indicative of fibre reinforcement. 

Here's where we get to the juicy stuff. As much of a work of art as the E416 is on the outside, we suspect it is even MORE impressive when it comes to the internals. The gearbox of the E416 features a reinforced piston with steel teeth and a reinforced piston head, an upgraded selector plate, a metal spring guide with bearings, CNC machined cylinder with a reinforced cylinder head, 8mm ball bearing bushings, steel gears, and low-resistance wiring. Impressive, right? That's not all, the Evolution Airsoft ETU III, with programmable MOSFET can also be found in this remarkably well-equipped pre-upgraded gearbox. 

The ETU III, whilst providing protection for the trigger contacts, also provides a programmable fire selector, which can be configured for bursts of varying shot count, ramping semi (on semi if you hold the trigger down it will fire full auto), adjustable pre-cocking for rapid trigger response, and semi locking in case you want to upgrade this rifle's spring and use it as a DMR. The ETU III also serves to warn the user if the battery is running low or has a fault, and can control the rate of fire! Very impressive, there are few ETUs out there which offer the options the Evolution Airsoft ETU III does, and most of them you would have to install yourself!
