Airsoft Brands: Who is Vector Optics?

About Vector Optics

Vector Optics was founded in China by founder Xusheng Shen after developing a passion for precision sports while working in Sweeden. "Sunclear" was founded in 2005 and was renamed in 2007 as "Vector Optics" for its entry into the US market.

Its founder, who uses Stephen as their chosen name, started the company aiming to take advantage of China's up-and-coming manufacturing industry and was certain that if China can make satellites and rockets it can also produce fantastic quality optics. Fast forward to 2022 and Vector Optics had become the name in low cost optical sights, both for real steel and Airsoft.

Vector Optics' motto is "Be safe, have fun". We agree, in that order!

Country Of Origin

Vector Optics originates in China and its optical sights are also manufactured in China.

Speciality

Vector Optics specialises in, you guessed it, optical sights and scopes! Vector's range covers variable magnification rifle scopes and red dot sights as well as range finders and binoculars.

In particular, Vector's riflescopes and red dot sights are its bread and butter in Airsoft, offering previously unheard-of quality for a remarkably low price. Vector offers its Victoptics range for those looking for low cost Airsoft sights with high quality glass and advanced functionality, and its standard scope line offers a range of larger optics suitable for Airsoft, real steel shooting and other marksmanship disciplines such as air rifle and crossbow shooting.

Range Of Products

Vector Optics has several sub-brands offering different types of aiming devices to different end users, but its main line can be used for many applications, although certain features lend themselves more readily to use in a skirmish environment.

Some Vector Optics scopes, such as the gargantuan Minotaur, have a magnification range of 12-60x, making it considerably too powerful for Airsoft ranges and skirmish settings, being more suitable for real steel or air rifle shooting.

Other Vector sights, such as the ever-popular Maverick Gen.II and Forester are hardened to handle the recoil of real firearms while being ideally suited to Airsoft skirmishing, offering low magnification and illuminated reticles to suit our needs perfectly.

Vector's standard line covers all of these sights, and everything in between, so make sure you consider carefully what you need and will actually use for skirmishing before getting yourself an impressive-looking Vector Optics scope. Any Vector Optics scope you will find on Patrol Base is suitable for Airsoft skirmishing, and some, like the impressive Veyron, can do both jobs with ease!

Victoptics

Victoptics is Vector Optics' line of more affordable sights aimed at Airsofters, offering high quality glass with a low price point. The Victoptics line ranges from red dot sights to full-sized riflescopes and is designed with Airsoft in mind, offering all the functions we need without any of the extra stuff which we will never use.

Tac Vector Optics

Tac Vector is a sub-brand of Vector Optics offering tactical flashlights and laser aiming devices, and like the Victoptics line, is intended for use in combat sports such as Airsoft and paintball. These devices are designed to be affordable and pack as much functionality into the design as possible while keeping it cheap.

Vaide

Vaide is a new sub-brand of Vector Optics, offering tactical flashlights intended for both Airsoft and real steel shooting. The Vaide flashlights, such as the Scrapper, are designed from the ground up using innovative features such as smart sensors and magnetic charging and are a step up from the Tac Vector flashlights which are aimed more at the low cost market.
