Description
The PTS MTEK FLUX shroud is constructed in two parts, comprising a fibre reinforced ABS polymer base, and a hybrid ABS polymer/aluminium alloy NVG mount plate. The set includes all the screws you will need to mount the shroud, but it will require that you carefully drill holes in the front of your helmet. We recommend measuring thoroughly, as you cannot un-drill holes, and we don't want your shroud to be wonky! Measure twice, cut once!
This design was conceived to add strength over existing Airsoft NVG mounts, which are generally made for looks and are often compromised in construction to keep them affordable. You can mount your NVG, GoPro or another expensive device to your helmet and rest safe in the knowledge that it is very unlikely to take a tumble! Regardless, we always recommend tethering your shroud or device to your helmet, as an extra level of security. Thankfully the PTS design allows for this, providing a cut-out on either side of the NVG mount for bungee elastics to be hooked on.
Similar mounts are available but the majority of them are made purely for looks, and should not be trusted mounting either a night vision device or a camera. The PTS MTEK FLUX shroud is made with functionality in mind, and uses high grade materials to provide the strength necessary to keep your expensive hardware securely mounted to your brain bucket. The MTEK FLUX shroud is available in several colour options, with something to suit any helmet setup.
