Bone Conduction technology is hard to compact into a short product description, but the jist of it is that audio is sent/received from picking up vibrations from bones inside your head, rather than sending it through your ear drum, or relying on picking up audio that has been sent through the air and then through a microphone. The technology was originally developed for those who are hard of hearing, but it does serve a purpose for tactical applications such as Airsoft, where retaining signal quality in a hectic environment is important.

When your team mates send a transmission to you, the audio will be sent as a vibration through the small bones in your ear, bypassing the ear drum completely. On the other side, as you send a message through the radio, the 'microphone' will pickup vibrations from your ear, rather than the picking up your voice via a microphone after it has travelled through the air.

This is a massive benefit to those who near clear comms when S.H.T.F. (things have gone wrong). Things like wind and other external sound sources are less likely to be transmitted through the microphone, as it can only transmit via a physical connection.

The headset comes supplied with a Baofeng/Kenwood Radio Plug, which makes it compatible with a huge range of PMRs. The unit also has a PTT Switch which can be pressed to transmit, and a crocodile clip to secure the PTT button somewhere on your equipment.
