Ares Kel-Tec RDB17 Bullpup AEG Rifle

Calling all bullpup fans! Sick of a heavy trigger pull? Tired of your fire selector either being under your arm or being only on one side? Starting from the muzzle end we have a steel birdcage flash hider that conceals a 14mm CCW male threading, allowing you to swap it out for a suppressor or tracer. The outer barrel has a matt black finish and runs the entire length that the real rifle would, giving the RDB superb balance, just like the real thing. The handguard is constructed of high-density fiber-reinforced polymer and is solid as a rock. Ergonomically shaped and covered in futuristic square checkering, a firm hold over the RDB is assured. At the front of the handguard, there are two sling points molded in, one on each side. Across the bottom there is a polymer Picatinny rail, just in case you would rather use an aftermarket VFG or AFG, or maybe mount a grenade launcher! The battery is stored inside the handguard and can be accessed by removing the steel body pin above the pistol grip. Within there is plenty of room for a crane style 7.4v lipo. 

The forward section of the upper receiver features a fully functional mock charging handle which can be swapped to either side. This part serves little function in Airsoft but it allows an HK-slap on steroids! Above this is a nice long Picatinny rail allowing you to mount PEQ boxes, tactical weapon lights, and optical sights. The rail is machined from aluminium and is both well machined and smooth, so it won't cut your hand accidentally! The pistol grip features an Ambidextrous fire selector with a remarkably short throw, meaning you can flip between fire modes much faster than a standard AR15. The trigger has texturing on the front surface, allowing you to trigger spam the enemy even with sweaty fingers. The grip itself has the same squared checkering as is present on the handguard (a Keltec trademark) and houses the tool to adjust the Hop. 

As we move rearwards, the receiver of the rifle is visible beneath the polymer externals. This part is made from high-quality steel and has a glare-evading matt black finish. The stock and mag well area features 5, count'em, 5 sling mounting points. Two on either side of the receiver and a 5th on the rear top of the stock. The magazine catch is ambidextrous and is accessible with a slight rearward movement from a firing grip, allowing fast reloads rivaling the venerable AR15. On the underside of the stock we have the mag well, within which is the rotary hop-up, which is adjusted with the tool stored in the pistol grip. behind the mag well is the mock ejection port inside of which lies the gearbox! At the rear of the rifle we can find the rubber buttplate which helps ensure this rifle doesn't slip off your shoulder in the heat of battle!

When it comes to performance this rifle is as equipped to kill with BBs as it is with its looks. The RDB features an electronic trigger and MOSFET already installed, ensuring you get the most out of your chosen battery. The rate of fire on full auto is phenomenal, as is the trigger response on semi-auto. The trigger mechanism itself is unlike any other seen on a bullpup Airsoft rifle, with the usual trigger transfer bar being deleted entirely in favour of an electronic connection to the gearbox. This allows the trigger pull to be light and crisp, meaning double taps are a breeze with the RDB. Added to this already impressive feature set is the quick change spring system, accessible by removing the stock. This allows the user to swap the spring depending on what site they are attending, letting you squeeze the last few fps out of the rifle and run your RDB right on site limits. The RDB also comes with two magazines included, one long magazine and one short, how nice!
