The ASG P-09 has been a sure choice for Airsofters since it's inital release way back when. It has established itself as a Pistol of choice for IPSC/Target Shooters, as well as Airsoft players running modern loadouts. This update to the Pistol offers an 'Optics Ready Slide', which has a Mount Plate for a Dr. Sight or similar Compact Red Dot Sight. It also includes High Profile Ironsights so that you can still use them if you install a Red Dot Sight on the Slide, as well as a Vented Slide and gorgeous Gold Threaded Barrel. Powered by CO2, this is a ferious Pistol with a strong Blowback that will perform really well in all weather conditions.

Description

This latest version of the ever-popular ASG P-09 Gas Blowback Pistol is a highly modernised variant, that features lots of bells and whistles that make it look great, and perform even better than it's predecessor. As always, the Pistol is built to an amazing standard, with a really tough and pleasant feel from the textured, Polymer Lower Frame, and an Alloy Slide for realism, weight and fun amounts of recoil.

Externally, the newest addition to the Pistol is the 'Optics Ready Slide' that features a Dr. Sight Mount Plate that will accept generic Red Dot Sights of this design. Not only does this look amazing, but it will seriously enhance your performance on the field. The Ironsights are higher profile than the original design, so that when a Red Dot Sight is installed, the Ironsights can still be used. This will be very handy if your Sight runs out of Battery during a fight. Other additions include a Vented Slide that reduces weight and improves gas efficiency, and also gives you a sneaky preview of the gorgeous Gold Outer Barrel through the gaps. The Outer Barrel has a 14mm CCW Thread at the end, allowing you to install most Airsoft Suppressors. A 20mm Pistol Rail on the underside of the frame can be used to install Torches, Lasers and other accessories (including Compact Grenade Launchers) to make your Pistol even more deadly!

The ASG P-09 features a Trigger Lock Safety at the rear of the Frame which can be engaged to stop the Trigger from being pulled. The Slide must be cycled before the Safety can be engaged. The Frame of the Pistol remains unchanged, keeping it's ergonomic and comfortable design, and has an added Backstrap at the back of the Pistol Grip to aid comfort. As expected, an Adjustable HOP Unit can be found once the Slide is removed, to add backspin to your BBs and improve range and consistency when you use the right BB weight and settings. Simply remove the Magazine, pull back the Slide and remove the Slide Release pin from the side of the Frame - the Slide should run straight off the Frame. Adjust the HOP Unit by turning the Gear Wheel on the underside of the Slide.

The Pistol comes inside a tough Hard Case that is perfect for transporting your Pistol in style. Pre-cut Wave Foam inside the Case will hold your Pistol and Magazine in place, protecting it from scratches and knocks. Also included in the box is a 25rnd CO2 Magazine, which is filled with BBs like any standard Gas Magazine, but requires a 12g CO2 Sparklet to be installed, rather than filling it with traditional Green Gas. This gives the Pistol stronger recoil, better cold weather performance, and makes it much louder than a Green Gas equivalent.

These table can be used as a reference to see if the BB weight you are using will be over acceptable Joulage limits at some Airsoft Sites in the UK. To check if the weight can be used chrono your weapon using the BB you intend to use, and then compare it to the chart.

FPS, Power and Joule Limits can vary from site to site, so please get in touch with where you're going to play with in advance to avoid disappointment.

Suggested limits are based on Joulage Limit rules used Halo Mill: Proving Grounds, with a 350fps limit for Automatic Replicas, 400fps for Semi-Automatic Replicas, and 500fps for Bolt Action Replicas.
