As always, we recommend checking the FPS/joule limits of your local site before installing the spring, but the piston and spring guide can be used with the standard spring in your rifle to provide improved strength and long-term durability if your site limits your rifle to 500 FPS.

If you have stripped your piston and need a replacement, here ya go! The KRYTAC Piston & Piston Head Assembly V2 for M4/AR-15 AEG is a replacement original parts set including a polymer piston with a 4-tooth steel rack and a polymer piston head with pre-installed O-ring. The set is designed for the Krytac Trident AEG series but is compatible with M4/AR-15 AEGs equipped with a version 2 gearbox. 

FPS Softair brings you a super high quality M4 piston with a technopolymer body and a full rack of steel teeth for a good combination of high strength and low weight. This is compatible with Tokyo Marui NGRS M4 gearboxes, aka the Version 9 gearbox. Please note, this piston is not compatible with the TM NGRS SCAR-L or SCAR-H. 

The loaded technopolymer assures great mechanical resistance and dimensional precision. The rack was manufactured through the use of MIM (Metal Injection Moulding) technology since this production process guarantees dimensional accuracy and sturdiness equal to those of solid machining.

Currently considered the best for this type of use, the metal injected is SAE 4650 steel. The sliding guides are designed to minimize friction and hold the lubricant for a long period of time, so you can be safe in the knowledge that your AEG will have reliable and long-lasting cycle functionality.

The Air Brake Pin blocks the cylinder head before impact producing an air "cushion" for the piston. As a result, the impact is dampened and the gun is more quiet. Included are 4 different lengths: 20 mm, 23 mm, 26 mm and 29 mm. The longer the length, the more of an air cushion resulting in a quieter shot, but it also reduces the FPS due to more of the air in the piston being used to dampen the impact. AirBrake pins are installed onto the piston head to make shooting the SSG-10 rifles quieter. They are compatible with upgrade parts such as the Novritsch SSG10 Weight Adjustable Piston. 

This is an advanced technical part, it is only recommended if you are confident in your upgrading abilities.

This machined stainless steel cylinder head has been optimised to make it more consistent and powerful. The thread has an optimal length to maximise the cylinder volume and the shape of the cylinder head has been slightly tweaked for a better air seal.

The Novritsch SSG10 Drill Fluted Cylinder is a fantastic upgrade for your SSG10 sniper rifle. Building a beast of a gearbox? The Gate Protector CNC Aluminium Cylinder head guarantees a fantastic air seal thanks to its double o ring configuration. The Protector cylinder head is constructed from CNC machined aluminium and includes two rubber buffers of differing hardness, one of which can be installed on the rear of the cylinder head to reduce the impact force on the front of the gearbox shell and prolong its life. This cylinder head is best suited for standard builds or high performance DMR style builds and has super tight tolerances making fitting a breeze while reducing friction between parts which can result in premature failure.

If you are building up a DMR AEG you will want one of these inside! The Power CNC Aluminium Hybrid Piston head from Gate combines innovations from the AEG piston head market with those from Sniper rifles to allow the weight of the piston head to be adjusted to help reduce power loss when using heavy BBs (>0.3g). With the Hybrid Piston Head you have the choice; either install the piston head alone for improved air seal, longevity and reduced friction, or if you're building a DMR you can add the included weight pads to increase the weight of the piston, and reduce lost FPS when using BBs weighing over 0.3g. Perfect for a DMR build, but equally great in a standard AEG build, Gate has really broken the mould with this one!
