These particular BBs are BIO 0.40g BBs which are created from biodegradable materials so that they will gradually break down with time when exposed to natural environments. Touted as a more environmentally friendly BB, they are sometimes required by certain Airsoft sites to play. 

These 0.40g BBs are getting towards the upper limit of Heavyweight BBs, and are ideally suited for Sniper Rifles and other high-power Airsoft Guns such as DMRs and Pistols (provided they have been suitably upgraded with an aftermarket HOP Bucking).
