Specna Arms SA-E12 EDGE 2.0™ Carbine AEG

The Edge 2.0 series are a new line of replicas from Specna Arms which combine their usual hardy build-quality on the externals with uprated internals, and an even better Gate MOSFET than before to squeeze every drop of performance out of these rifles. The metal parts of the rifle are finished to an amazing standard, and have lovely engraved trademarks. The MOSFET is a GATE ASTER module which serves to protect your circuits and batteries, allows for Trigger Sensitivity Adjustment of the Optical Trigger and allows basic troubleshooting on the board thanks to status indicator LEDs. The Edge 2.0 series also feature the ESA2™ Quick Change Spring System which dramatically reduces the amount of time to change the output power of your rifle, allowing you to change the main spring via the Buffer Tube.

The externals are made from a mix of Aluminium and Zinc Alloy which undergo a rigorous course of Sand Blasting, Powder Coating and then Anodising to achieve a world-class finish on their metal-work. This finish is then protected by a 'Nano Coating' finish that reduces scratches. The external trim parts of the rifle such as structural screws and supports are made from Steel to ensure a long-life performance. The Polymers used throughout are an exceptional quality and feel really good in the hands, the Pistol Grip being textured to promote grip in all conditions. The pistol grip has a neat design which allows you quick access to the motor without the need for tools.

At the muzzle end of the replica, the flash hider can be screwed off to reveal a 14mm CCW thread underneath. This lets you attach Suppressors, Tracer Units, Muzzle Brakes or any compatible muzzle device to further enhance the looks or performance of your AEG.

The handguard is built from Aluminium and Zinc Alloys which makes it very tough and durable, and features four points of 20mm rails for accessories. It also has QD sling sockets on both sides of the handguard to quickly attach and remove QD sling setups. The entire assembly is secured to the receiver tightly and has absolutely no wobble, helping this rifle feel more like the real thing in the shoulder. The six position Adjustable Stock at the rear is where the battery is housed, and connects to a Deans connector (adaptor included), and you will also notice an Ambidextrous Sling Plate for left and right handed sling users.

Internally, this Gun has a huge range of features that make it a prime choice over other models in its' price range. The first of many uprated components is a 6.03mm Precision Inner Barrel, and a Rotary HOP Unit for fine control over your BB's backspin, allowing for an increase in range and consistency (when using the right BBs and settings). The HOP Unit has a Helium™ Flat HOP Bucking which interacts very evenly with the BB, and makes for excellent and stable lift. As with any premium Specna Model, you have the ORION Gearbox inside, with the updated ESA2™ Quick Change Spring System that allows for rapid Main Spring changes from the Buffer Tube, without having to remove or disassemble the Gearbox. The ORION Gearbox also features, a lightweight Polymer Piston with a Full Steel Rack, double-sealed Piston Head with Bearings, Air-Sealed Nozzle, Double Sealed Cylinder Head, Spring Guide on Bearings, a set of Steel Gears and 8mm Bearings. This is an impressive list, but it doesn't end there...

The main party trick of the Specna Arms SA-E12 Edge 2.0 is the GATE ASTER™ MOSFET, which is a massive step above the GATE X-ASR Module that was included with the previous models. The ASTER™ provides amazing features such as 'Polarity Inversion Protection', which prevents damage from mis-use of Batteries. An Optical Sensor makes for an incredible Trigger Pull (the smallest twitch will fire the Gun, which is great for long-term endurance). The Trigger can also be set to one of 250 sensitivity settings!  This Trigger is paired with the Solar™ Electronic Trigger which has a very pleasant travel and pull, and will take your skirmish-performance to another level. The ASTER™ interacts with the GATE Control Station Application, allowing you to modify your Gun from the comfort of a device or computer, and a handy RGD LED Diode system makes for simply programming. If you want to perform advanced programming, you'll need the GATE USB-Link for full control over the ASTER™ MOSFET.

Included in the box are two Mid Cap 125rnd Magazines of a modern P-Mag design, which has tiny Specna Arms logos used as a stippling pattern which looks absolutely fantastic!

Recommended Battery

For this rifle we recommend a 7.4v LiPo with Tamiya or Deans connector in stick or crane stock configuration from 1000mAh 1300mAh.

Special Instructions

The externals of the replica are metal where they would be on the real world gun. This includes things like the outer barrel, handguard, and receiver. If a real world gun has polymer parts then the gun will still be marked as full metal externals, examples of this would be an M4, where the Stock and Pistol grip are always made from Polymer.
