What you can win

Like all Proving Grounds takeover events, we have plenty to give away to lucky attendees. Every person who attends gets one raffle ticket, and those who book in advance get an additional ticket (2 total).

The draw takes place at lunchtime on the day, and everyone (except staff...sorry guys!) is in with a chance to win. While we have more prices to announce (keep an eye on our social media), check out our awesome prizes below:

The PTS ZEV Core Elite range is inspired by the real steel ZEV Core Elite AR-15 rifle, a premium piece designed for action-packed 3-Gun competitions where a mix of combat and competitive skills is measured.

A full metal build with premium PTS ergonomic parts and the unique ZEV aesthetic, thanks to its gloss bronze outer barrel, this platform stands out in a discrete yet stylish way.

Yes, we have TWO ZEV Core Elites to hand out, a 14.5-inch Carbine model and a 10.5-inch SBR version. Both are packing the same solid internals based around the V2 gearbox paired with a rotary HOP-up unit and a tightbore barrel, giving you everything you need to compete.

With M-LOK and 20mm Picatinny interfaces on board, think of this as a more modern and stylish MK18!

Last but not least, our grand prize, the phenomenal PTS Syndicate Mega Arms MML Maten .308 GBBR, a stunner of a full metal build patterned after the real Mega Arms MML Maten.

The Maten is the Mega Arms equivalent of the SR-25, bristling with licensed trademarks and the perfect base for a GBBR DMR.

In terms of recoil, the Maten is without equal, and its external build quality easily lives up to PTS' premium reputation!

With over £1200 worth of prizes up for grabs, you won't want to miss out on Operation Syndicate!

Whether you take home a premium platform or a handful of stylish PTS patches, we know you'll have a great day.

Site Tour & What to Expect

If you have never had the pleasure of attending a HALO MILL: Proving Grounds skirmish, allow us to give you a heads-up on what to expect at our unique "battle sim" events.

Proving Grounds is an outdoor woodland skirmish site with a difference and was set up with input from experienced skirmishers and military and police consultants to provide the most realistic experience possible.

The site is laid out with Battle Sim-style skirmishes in mind, each of which is designed with the perfect combination of real-world plausibility and the enjoyment of the participants. If you are bored with regular woodland sites, Proving Grounds was conceived by others like you, and with you in mind!

Site Location and Facilities

HALO MILL Proving Grounds. A skirmisher storms the bridge HALO MILL: Proving Grounds is located in the wildlands of Selby, North Yorkshire, and boasts the world's largest purpose-built bridge for Airsoft scenarios.

If you prefer getting down and dirty rather than silhouetting yourself against the skyline, an intense trench network is ready and waiting.

The fully weatherproofed safe zone ensures that you and your kit remain safe and comfortable throughout the day and HPA refills are available for free, just ask a member of staff.

Refreshments are available thanks to the on-site cafe, where you can fuel yourself up with a selection of hot and cold food and beverages to maintain the energy necessary for the operation.

How an Airsoft "Battle-sim" skirmish works

Each Proving Grounds battle sim revolves around a well-planned and varied scenario which evolves and adapts depending on your team's performance and the objectives you do and do not achieve.

This may sound intense, but players of all experience levels are welcome, and all will have a great time.

A true departure from the normal "walk-on" woodland skirmish, a Proving Grounds battle sim runs all day, uninterrupted, allowing you to enter and leave the game area at will, and participate as you feel like over the 6-hour battle.

Whenever you need a break, the safe zone is waiting, and you can use your map to locate the next objective when you're ready to rock once again.

Battle sim games are perfect for Airsofters who prefer a more realistic scenario from their Airsoft games without the kit restrictions of Milsim events.

Battle sim scenarios include extracting downed pilots, disarming bombs, capturing the flag and V.I.P escort missions, to name but a few.

The scenario will include various objectives which are spread around the site and are time-sensitive to keep the operation dynamic and varied throughout the day.

After the safety brief, each player will be issued with a site map with objectives, times and the overall site layout.

For one objective, you may be tasked with securing the crash site of a downed recon aircraft and preventing vital intel from falling into the enemy's hands.

For this specific scenario, Proving Grounds has its very own Beechcraft Bonanza, which is far from airworthy but definitely adds to the immersive gameplay!

If you succeed, you may then be tasked with escorting the pilot from the wreckage of his plane to the extraction point.

If you fail, your team may find themselves on the defensive, as the enemy is now able to use the intel from the recon flight against you, and they now hold the pilot hostage!

With the intel in the enemy's hands, you may then be tasked with reacquiring the intel and calling in an air strike on a vital logistics route held by the enemy, for example, the famous Proving Grounds bridge.

The bridge makes an intense holdout position with some great sniping opportunities, though you'll need to keep your head on a swivel as there are plenty of places for the enemy to hide!

Your next objective will vary depending on whether you achieved your previous objectives, meaning that if you want your team to win, you will need to adapt quickly.

Bear in mind that a missed objective just means you will have to work harder for the next one!

Though the operations are set in a familiar woodland environment, a Proving Grounds op is a truly unique Airsoft event, both in the scenario and in the way the games are played.

Extra care and thought have been taken to provide immersion and add extra challenges to your game if you seek them, but if you prefer to simply run around hunting the enemy team, no one will stop you!

Each Proving Grounds operation is what you make it, and if you like getting stuck in and after objectives, you can do just that and help your team secure a proud victory.

If you just came to whoop *beep* and take names, however, lighting the enemy up is a job that always needs doing.

The objective grabbers will appreciate you distracting the enemy team's hard hitters to allow them to do their job!

Whatever your style of play, skill level or chosen battlefield role, you will find yourself in a position to take advantage of your niche at HALO MILL: Proving Grounds!
