The real TTI JW3 MPX wasn't actually made to quickly dispatch goons on set, though it certainly does a good job! The build originated to fit the requirements of 3-gun competition shooting, designed for speed, accuracy and cutting-edge handling. The 3-gun features translate well to Airsoft skirmishing, including its flared magazine well for speedy reloads, ambidextrous fire selector and extended handguard, providing plenty of space for accessories, not to mention sleek, high-end looks. If you're already running a TTI John Wick pistol, the EMG X TTI MPX-K JW3 Sportline AEG is the perfect pairing!

Starting up front, we come to the significantly extended outer barrel of this MPX build, bringing it from a compact SMG ideal for tight quarters to a lightning-fast 3-gun style carbine capable of duking it out at long range. The barrel is made from aluminium and equipped with a muzzle brake-style flash hider, perfectly matching the JW3 MPX. If you prefer a tracer unit or suppressor, you can switch out the muzzle brake for any 14mm CCW-compatible muzzle device, but make sure you remove the grub screw before unthreading it.

The handguard itself is constructed from aluminium and finished with a carbon fibre effect, recreating the TTI Custom MPX used by the guy you send to kill the boogie man in John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum(2019). Featuring M-LOK negative space attachment slots at the 3, 6, 9 and 12 o’clock positions along the full-length 14-inch handguard, there is plenty of space for M-LOK accessories on the MPX-K JW3, perfect for customisation addicts.

The extended 3-gun-style handguard makes the MPX-K intuitive and natural to point, ideal for modern shooting stances, like those used by our hero in the John Wick movies. The battery compartment is located inside the handguard. To install your battery, you'll need to remove the handguard by unscrewing the Torx screw on the bottom. With this done, you can connect your battery to the mini-Tamiya connector and replace the handguard, being careful to avoid trapping the wiring. We recommend a 7.4V 1450mAh LiPo battery for the JW3 MPX-K for an easy fit and solid performance.

The receiver of the JW3 MPX-K is made from high-density polymer, with a solid, textured finish which feels great in the hand. Licensed SIG SAUER USA trademarks can be found on the left side of the magazine well in the usual spot, taking the form of the iconic SIG roundel logo seen on many modern Sig platforms, with “SIG MPX” and “MULTI-CAL” just below.

The flared magazine well extension mounts around the receiver, also made from polymer to keep added weight to an absolute minimum. The flared magwell helps speed up your reloads by guiding your magazine in, a great addition for fast movers, competition shooters and players who love slick handling!

The receiver itself is also equipped with a 20mm Picatinny rail on its upper surface, giving you a slightly longer receiver rail than an AR platform, with extra space for mounting red dot sights, magnifier combos, and even larger LPVO optics. With the rail positioned slightly higher than the handguard, you can place a laser or flashlight on the top rail and avoid casting a shadow.

When it comes to the controls, the base MPX platform is already very well equipped. The fire selector switch mimics that of the M4/AR-15 platform but is mirrored on either side; perfect for left or right-handed shooters and those who use shoulder-to-shoulder transitions to make the best use of cover. Being enlarged and equipped with additional texture on its contact surfaces, the MPX selector switch gives you plenty of grip for wet-weather use and is fast to actuate, even when wearing full-finger gloves.

The magazine release is also ambidextrous, located on either side of the magazine well and easily within reach of your trigger finger when the MPX-K JW3 is held in a firing grip. Surrounding each of the magazine release buttons is what is known as a “magazine release fence”, preventing the mag release from being accidentally pressed, as any properly designed magazine release button should have.

Mounted to the magazine well, we also have a flared magwell extension, flawlessly mimicking the real TTI JW3 Custom MPX while helping guide your magazine in during frantic, mid-firefight reloads. Naturally, the flared magwell also features a TTI logo stamp on the front, matching that on the magazine baseplate and the stock adapter to complete the elite TTI look.

Also on either side of the receiver is the mock bolt release catch, taking the form of the M4/AR-15 style ping pong paddle on the left side and a button just above the mag release on the right side. The bolt catch levers are non-functional, but are nonetheless separate parts to enhance realism. The charging handle is also non-functional, but matches the shape and ambidextrous design of the real steel MPX perfectly.

The rotary adjustable HOP-up unit of the MPX-K JW3 is located on the right side of the receiver, accessible with the dust cover, which covers the ejection port, lifted up. The rotary dial beneath allows you to adjust the amount of backspin applied to your BBs, seeking the flattest possible trajectory with your chosen ammo weight. We recommend 0,25g BBs, as they're great for both indoor and outdoor gameplay.

The pistol grip is a flawless replica of the real steel Sig Sauer ergonomic pistol grip, complete with recessed Sig trademarks to complete the authentic look. This grip design is very comfortable, featuring a filled-out backstrap to support the web of the hand and gripping texture across the design for optimal traction.

At the rear of the receiver, we are treated to the most modern stock attachment interface around. The 1913/20mm Picatinny interface originates on the Sig MCX and MPX platforms and is rapidly appearing on almost every other platform, offering a plethora of specialised stock options, including the pre-installed M4/AR-15 buffer tube adapter and EMG Alpha stock.

The 1913/20mm interface offers numerous advantages over a fixed M4/AR-15 buffer tube, including the ability to remove the stock assembly in seconds using an Allen key and either swap it for an alternative or allow storage in a smaller gun bag or case.

The pre-installed stock setup is a great replica of the real steel TTI Stock Adapter, fitted with a 6-position M4/AR-15 buffer tube and the EMG Alpha Combat Ready stock pre-installed. The buffer tube lets you adjust the stock to any of 6 available positions, setting your primary up to suit your body type and loadout. While the Alpha stock looks fantastic on this build, you can swap it out for any M4/AR-15 sliding stock if you fancy a change but want to keep the buffer tube installed.

The Alpha stock itself replicates a well-known modern stock design, fitted with low-profile adjustment levers to reduce snags, a sling slot for standard strap-style slings, a grippy rubber butt plate and a "rolled toe", making it easier to use with modern plate carrier vests.

There is also a storage compartment inside designed for Airsoft batteries, but since the MPX-K has its battery at the front, you can use the storage space for accessory batteries, tools or snacks, at your discretion. To access the compartment, simply push the two tabs at the toe of the stock together, and the butt plate will pop off.

Alternative stock options for the 1913 interface include the Visor stock, designed for full face protection and gas masks, and the minimalist folding stock, ideal for storage and transport. and the MCX Skeleton stock, a cutting-edge solution found on the latest real steel MCX Spear rifles.
