Description

An electronically powered 6mm BB Airsoft replica of the MK2 M249 Squad Automatic Weapon (SAW), perfect for Airsofters looking to bring a little supporting fire to the Airsoft field. Designed as a lightweight support weapon, this replica accurately recreates the MK2’s characteristic full-length solid polymer stock, and redesigned heatshield and handguard-integrated bipod.

Just like the real M249, this Airsoft replica is constructed almost entirely from alloy, with only the handguard, stock and Pistol Grip being constructed from polymer. The result is a weighty Airsoft replica which looks and handles like the real thing. The MK2 features a folding bipod built into the handguard, which allows users to set the weapon up and fire from a fixed and emplaced position. For additional support and control, there is a skeletal wire shoulder brace built into the butt-stock, which folds away when not in use.

The M249 is fed by a whopping 2400 round Box Magazine, ensuring that you’ll always have a satisfyingly high amount of ammunition in the field. The box magazine can be set to automatically wind itself, or by using it’s sound-detection system. Uniquely, and just like the real M249, this Airsoft replica can also be fed from standard Airsoft STANAG M4 type magazines – meaning that if you (somehow) run out of ammunition, you can borrow your teammates’ magazines!

As the M249 is required to fire a lot of rounds in a short space of time, the A&K gearbox has been redesigned and enhanced to offer the best possible performance. The alloy internals are durable, and are capable of providing a delightful rate of fire of 800 rpm.

The M249 MK2 possesses front and rear ironsights which are fully adjustable for windage and elevation, ensuring that users can quickly and easily acquire and engage targets.

Used by an incredibly wide range of NATO armed forces, the M249 MK2 is perfect for all manner of support gunner loadouts. If you’re a fan of liberally spraying the skirmish field with BBs and putting up an impenetrable wall of fire, then this is the replica for you!

Special Instructions:

The externals of the replica are metal where they would be on the real world gun. This includes things like the outer barrel, handguard, and receiver. If a real world gun has polymer parts then the gun will still be marked as full metal externals, examples of this would be an M4, where the Stock and Pistol grip are always made from Polymer.

These table can be used as a reference to see if the BB weight you are using will be over acceptable Joulage limits at some Airsoft Sites in the UK. To check if the weight can be used chrono your weapon using the BB you intend to use, and then compare it to the chart.

FPS, Power and Joule Limits can vary from site to site, so please get in touch with where you're going to play with in advance to avoid disappointment.

Suggested limits are based on Joulage Limit rules used Halo Mill: Proving Grounds, with a 350fps limit for Automatic Replicas, 400fps for Semi-Automatic Replicas, and 500fps for Bolt Action Replicas.
