Description
If you want to min-max your Airsoft loadout, the Classic Army Nemesis DT-4 Double Barrel M4/AR-15 AEG is the right tool for the job. Effectively two M4 AEGs in one, the DT-4 is inspired by the real steel Gilboa DBR Snake, allowing you to put down twice as many rounds with the same amount of trigger work, ideal for low-effort Airsofters in need of more firepower!
Internally, the DT-4 is based around a unique gearbox design with version 2 gearbox compatible internals, a long shaft motor and the Classic Army EFCS programmable MOSFET. The MOSFET keeps electrical efficiency on point and prevents trigger lockups, while providing 3 and 5-round burst fire mode options programmed through a series of trigger pulls. If you need a juggernaught-worthy primary, the Classic Army Nemesis DT-4 Double Barrel M4/AR-15 AEG is exactly that!
Starting at the front, we can see the enlarged flash hiders mounted to the tip of the two alloy outer barrels using common 14mm CCW male threading. This means you can add two tracer units, suppressors, or simply style up the front end with alternative flash hiders of your choice, with no need for extra adapters. If you're running suppressors or tracers, make sure you choose options with a relatively slim profile (30mm or less).
Moving rearwards, we come to the M-LOK handguard, made from CNC-machined aluminium with M-LOK negative space attachment slots at the 3, 6 and 9 o'clock positions and 20mm Picatinny rail running along the top. This means you can add M-LOK accessories wherever you need them, from front grips to rail covers, tactical flashlights, bipods and more. While it is far from a lightweight build, the wide vent ports on the handguard help keep the front end light and agile, stripping away any unnecessary weight.
The upper 20mm Picatinny rail runs back to meet the receiver rail seamlessly, ready for optical sights of practically any length to be fitted, including red dot sights and magnifier combos. The set includes a pair of Troy-inspired flip-up iron sights, which are pre-installed; superb modern back-up sights with adjustable windage and elevation, along with protective wings to maintain your zero through the rigours of an intense skirmish scenario.
The upper receiver itself is significantly enlarged compared to a standard M4/AR-15 build, but the lower keeps the slim, ergonomic profile of the original, along with its intuitive fire control design. The fire selector switch is ambidextrous, mirrored on either side, just above the pistol grip. This puts this essential control right beneath the thumb of either a left or right handed shooers for optimal control in-game.
The charging handle, located at the top rear of the chonky upper receiver, is also ambidextrous. When pulled back, this will open the mock dust covers on each side and retract the mock bolt carriers, revealing the two rotary HOP-up units, ready for adjustment. Each HOP-up unit is adjusted independently, allowing you to tune the flightpath of your BBs, seeking the flattest possible trajectory. While the DT4 is utterly unique, its HOP-up units, HO_up parts and inner barrels are all standard M4 AEG spec, meaning aftermarket upgrades are a go for those who want more!
On the bottom of the receiver, we can find the two independent magazine wells, each capable of holding an M4/AR-15 AEG magazine via its own magazine catch. The magazine release for each side is present in the usual spot for an M4, offering a push-through button design with a textured surface for optimal wet-weather traction. Having separate magazine releases means you can effectively cover yourself during a combat reload, though this will take some practice to master. One slight downside to the dual magazine well design is that it will, in most cases, not be compatible with drum magazines due to a lack of clearance.
The pistol grip thankfully isn't a double-decker; a modern, ergonomic grip design with linear texture on the front and rear straps, with crackle textured panels on either side. The grip profile is rounded at the edges and features a filled-out back strap, fitting a wide variety of hand sizes and shapes comfortably.
At the rear of the receiver, we can find an ambidextrous sling plate, allowing a single-point sling to be fitted on either side to suit left or right-handed shooters. The sling plate is made from steel to effectively support the weight of the DT4 with any accessories you choose to mount, though we do recommend getting a high-quality sling with padding for optimal comfort with this hefty beast. If you feel a two-point sling is more appropriate for such a chonker (we sure do), we recommend adding a front sling point to the handguard's 20mm rail or M-LOK slots.
Last but not least, we come to a familiar sight, the M4/AR-15 buffer tube, a 6-position example made from alloy with a Classic Army battery stock mounted. The buffer tube allows you to set the stock at a length of pull to suit your body type and loadout using the lever on the bottom of the stock. This buffer tube is also compatible with a variety of aftermarket sliding stock options for M4/AR-15 AEGs, the perfect way to make the DT-4 truly yours.
The battery compartment is inside the buffer tube and best accessed through the butt plate of the stock. To remove the butt plate, simply press the button at the toe of the stock, and the butt plate can be slid up slightly, then lifted free. Inside, you'll find the Mini-Tamiya battery connector and plenty of space for a respectably-sized battery. We recommend a 7.4V 2000mAh LiPo battery in Crane/nunchuck configuration, and if you're out all day with a heavy trigger finger, we recommend having a spare on hand just in case!
Inside, the CA DT-4 Nemesis is based on a proprietary gearbox design which uses standard V2 gearbox-compatible internals, offering plenty of upgrade opportunities if you know what you're doing. The motor is a long shaft type, the standard for M4/AR-15 AEGs and the inner barrel/HOP-up internals are all standard M4 AEG spec, meaning accuracy upgrades are a go!
The pre-installed Classic Army EFCS MOSFET keeps electrical efficiency high and prevents trigger lockups, ideal for those who love semi-auto spam. The EFCS also offers the option to program the trigger for 3-round or 5-round bursts, helping you avoid burning ammo too fast while increasing hit probability, perfect for engaging moving targets.
A beast of a build from front to rear, which is bound to turn heads on site, the DT-4 Nemesis makes a great curveball primary for a unique loadout. If you follow the "two is one and one is none" mantra, the Classic Army Nemesis DT-4 Double Barrel M4/AR-15 AEG is the two-in-one you need!

Joule Charts
Special Instructions
These table can be used as a reference to see if the BB weight you are using will be over acceptable Joulage limits at some Airsoft Sites in the UK. To check if the weight can be used chrono your weapon using the BB you intend to use, and then compare it to the chart.
FPS, Power and Joule Limits can vary from site to site, so please get in touch with where you're going to play with in advance to avoid disappointment.
Suggested limits are based on Joulage Limit rules used Halo Mill: Proving Grounds, with a 350fps limit for Automatic Replicas, 400fps for Semi-Automatic Replicas, and 500fps for Bolt Action Replicas.
Tap the tabs below to open the relevant chart for your replica.
This table should be used for reference, and cannot be used to check one weight against another, as the weight of the BB affects the power.
In order to check if the BB can be used with your replica chronograph using the weight you wish to use and then compare it against the table.
Every time you change weights you will need to re-chrono and check against the table. This is not a conversion chart between weights.
Suggested limits are based on Joulage Limit rules used Halo Mill: Proving Grounds, and is the equivalent of 350fps, using 0.20g BB resulting in an upper limit of 1.14j.
