Description
Those classy skirmishers out there; this one is for you! The Cyber Gun Colt 1911 CO2 is constructed entirely from metal, as its immaculate gloss silver finish would suggest. On the outside this pistol is fit for museum display, and boasts perfectly accurate Colt trademarks to match the real thing with a beautifully consistent finish across all major parts and the controls. This 1911 leaves the garish and uncivilised features of modern pistols at home and gives the user all they will need to win two world wars in a simple and functional handgun that wouldn't look out of place with evening wear.
Starting at the tip of the outer barrel we can find 11mm CW female threading, meaning this 1911 is ready for a tracer or suppressor if you add a 14mm CCW male thread adapter. In its traditional role as a sidearm this may not be necessary, but if you want to set your 1911 up like a Hitman style assassins pistol a suppressor would suit this pistol perfectly, especially if it is silver!
The front of the slide sports the classic 1911 profile, and uses the old-school barrel bushing style disassembly method, adding realism and making Glock and Hi-capa users scratch their heads as they wonder how to remove the outer barrel and recoil spring! If you need to remove the outer barrel or recoil spring for maintenance this can be done by first removing the slide as you would with a standard field strip. With the slide removed, push the recoil rod in slightly from the front of the slide, rotate the barrel bushing and it should come free. The recoil spring can then be removed as normal, and the outer barrel slid through the front of the slide.
The frame and slide of the Cyber Gun Colt 1911 are constructed from alloy with a super silky smooth gloss silver finish, which matches well with the silver controls and wood effect polymer grip panels. There is no frame rail on this 1911, nor should there be as this would ruin the authentic and original appearance of the pistol. If you need a tactical light we suggest using a separate torch in old school style, or eating some carrots like the G.I's issued this pistol would have done back in the day!
The controls of this 1911 are all low profile designs, intended to prevent snags at the small price of requiring more practice to use quickly. The manual safety catch is located on the left side of the frame, to the rear of the pistol grip, and has a small textured surface which is well within reach of the thumb when the pistol is held in a firing grip. The secondary safety device, known as the "beavertail grip safety" is located at the rear of the grip, and is automatically disengaged when the pistol is gripped properly. This device helps to reduce the chances of having a negligent discharge on the draw, which can be an issue with 1911s due to their short and light trigger pull. The beavertail keeps the trigger locked until it is depressed, which also prevents any protrusions on your kit from catching the trigger and firing the pistol.
The front face of the Cyber Gun Colt 1911's trigger includes texturing to ensure you can get a controlled and accurate trigger press, even in inclement weather. The slide release lever has a similar texture on its upper surface to prevent your thumb from slipping off and continues to work well even with wet hands. This 1911 may lack some of the more modern features available today, but John Moses Browning was way ahead of his time with this design, and it really shows considering the 1911 is still doing what it does best 110 years after its conception!
The magazine release is a low-profile design, a typical style for an era where preventing accidental magazine loss was far more important than being able to reload quickly. Arguably the same is true today unless you shoot IPSC or other competitions, and means you can rock this 1911 in a skirmish without having to keep checking that your magazine is still there. Low profile though it may be, this magazine release is still fast to access and reliable thanks to its surface texture and near-perfect positioning between the trigger guard and grip.
At the base of the grip we can find another old-school feature that really should be on more Airsoft GBBs; a lanyard loop. This alloy loop is machined as a part of the hammer spring housing and allows you to tether your pistol to your belt to prevent accidental drops and avoid the nightmare scenario of getting up after a long crawl and seeing that your pistol has dispensed itself into the woodland leaf litter. This will never be a problem as long as you use this feature, and we advise that you do!
The grip panels of the Cyber Gun Colt 1911 are constructed from polymer with a faux wood finish and include diamond checkering on the outside to provide a solid and comfortable grip, whether you wear gloves when shooting or not. This texture works perfectly with the machined texture on the hammer spring housing, giving the pistol the completed look, with the matching textures tying the whole piece together.
Performance wise this 1911 is considerably above the average, thanks to its CO2 power source. This means the pistol keeps on shooting in cold weather, and has plenty of gas volume to clear the entire magazine's worth of BBs, and potentially a second if you haven't dumped the first mag as super speed! Speaking of super speed, the trigger is exactly what one might expect for a 1911, and has a light, short and crisp pull with a tactile reset allowing you to shoot at Hi-capa-like speeds with 1911 style.
This 1911 is compatible with both Cyber Gun CO2 1911 magazines and WE/Armourer Works 1911 green gas magazines, meaning if you prefer to use green gas in summer and save the CO2 for winter you can do exactly that! When using green gas magazines we recommend underloading the 30rnd magazine to between 10 and 15bbs to ensure the gas supply is ample for rapid fire in a tight spot!
So, if you are a pistol collector with a 1911-shaped hole in your soul, the Cyber Gun Colt 1911 is the only proper choice if you require something that is as nice to look at as it is to shoot. If you are a more skirmish focussed Airsofter and you are looking for a classy pistol to do your dirty work in-game, it is a hard-fought battle to find a classic pistol that outclasses this 1911.

Joule Charts
Special Instructions
These table can be used as a reference to see if the BB weight you are using will be over acceptable Joulage limits at some Airsoft Sites in the UK. To check if the weight can be used chrono your weapon using the BB you intend to use, and then compare it to the chart.
FPS, Power and Joule Limits can vary from site to site, so please get in touch with where you're going to play with in advance to avoid disappointment.
Suggested limits are based on Joulage Limit rules used Halo Mill: Proving Grounds, with a 350fps limit for Automatic Replicas, 400fps for Semi-Automatic Replicas, and 500fps for Bolt Action Replicas.
Tap the tabs below to open the relevant chart for your replica.
This table should be used for reference, and cannot be used to check one weight against another, as the weight of the BB affects the power.
In order to check if the BB can be used with your replica chronograph using the weight you wish to use and then compare it against the table.
Every time you change weights you will need to re-chrono and check against the table. This is not a conversion chart between weights.
Suggested limits are based on Joulage Limit rules used Halo Mill: Proving Grounds, and is the equivalent of 350fps, using 0.20g BB resulting in an upper limit of 1.14j.
