Description

The Cybergun Colt M4 Mike PDW M4/AR-15 AEG is a fresh take on the legendary M4 platform, blending classic military styling with modern Airsoft functionality. Manufactured under official Colt licence, this replica features authentic markings and a robust full metal construction, giving it a realistic weight and feel that stands out on the field. Only the sights, pistol grip and PDW stock are polymer, helping keep the balance comfortable during extended games.

Starting at the front, we have a very aggressive muzzle break device. This flash hider is very menacing, adding a certain style to the front of your platform. If you are not a fan, you'll be happy to know that underneath it is 14mm CCW threading. This means that the Colt Mike is ready for alternative muzzle devices, including suppressors and tracer units.

Behind that, the M4 Mike is equipped with a long, skeletonised M-LOK handguard, providing ample space for grips, lights, lasers and other accessories. A full-length upper Picatinny rail allows easy mounting of optics, while the included short vertical foregrip improves weapon control during fast-paced engagements. Folding iron sights are also fitted as standard, giving you a reliable backup aiming solution.

The receiver follows the common M4 design, and all the controls are in a familiar place, so adjusting to this AEG shouldn't be a challenge. Immediately, you will notice the Rock River Arms trademarks on the left side of the receiver. The logo and trademarks have been deeply engraved into the alloy receiver, so they are sure to never scratch off. Also adding to the realism of this AEG are the bolt release and forward assist; neither provides a function on the Mike, however, they are movable parts to reduce the common tell-tale signs of a replica.

The fire selector lever can be found just above the pistol grip, on the left side of the AEG, providing 3 modes of fire: SAFE, SEMI, and AUTO, with a 90-degree throw between each. The fire modes are helpfully marked in recessed text on the receiver, and the selector switch clicks positively into each mode with the help of its textured surface. The magazine release is on the right side of the magazine well and is accessible for a right-handed user with their trigger finger or by a lefty using their off-hand thumb.

Located at the rear of the receiver, you will find the charging handle. Pulling back on this will pop open the dust cover on the right side of the AEG and retract the mock bolt. When retracted, you can access the rotary HOP-up adjuster. This is the latest HOP-up unit design for the M4/AR-15 and provides finer adjustment increments and holds its setting more effectively than the older gear-style HOP-up unit. The extended design of the charging handle allows gloved users to access their HOP-up, though you may need to remove your glove to adjust the unit!

At the rear of the receiver, we come to the PDW stock. This stock represents the pinnacle of ultra-compact systems. It can be compressed in making the platform extremely short, then with a press of the button, the stock will deploy and lock out. It has a rubber buffer tube plug, which makes a decent cheek rest and also keeps the battery compartment water-tight.

The battery compartment is in the buffer tube. Once it is accessed, it will reveal a mini-Tamiya connector. As this is an ultra-compact PDW stock, you will need a small PDQ stock tube battery.

Internally, this AEG benefits from several upgraded components designed to improve durability and reliability. The gearbox features a piston with steel teeth for increased longevity, 8mm bearings for smoother cycling, and a quick-change spring system that makes adjusting power far easier. An integrated electronic MOSFET with a magnetic sensor replaces the traditional cut-off lever, improving trigger response and protecting the internals when running LiPo batteries.

Suggested limits are based on Joulage Limit rules used Halo Mill: Proving Grounds, with a 350fps limit for Automatic Replicas, 400fps for Semi-Automatic Replicas, and 500fps for Bolt Action Replicas.
