P90s are known for being extremely compact and lightweight; this Airsoft replica leans into that. Constructed from full polymer, this model handles like air and is compact enough to zip around CQB skirmishes and dominate the enemy team.

It features several key features every Airsoft P90 lover would want, such as a top and side rail mounts, adjustable rotary HOP unit and a high cap magazine to keep you in the field for longer. This is a great starter gun for those of you planning to get into CQB and have more unique and interesting taste in SMGs.

Description

Issued to the US Secret Service, Belgian paratroopers and special forces units worldwide, the P90 is an instantly recognisable and iconic PDW/submachine gun, especially for its role in media such as Goldeneye 007 for the N64,  The World is Not Enough and Stargate SG1.

The Double Bell P90 replicates the real-world equivalent by keeping the aesthetics of the iconic SMG completely intact, as the design is a faithful 1:1 recreation. With its unique, modern design, the P90 exudes a compact and minimalist style, while maintaining a menacing demeanour, ready for battle at any moment. Designed for use by tank and helicopter crewmen or troops on the move as a close-range PDW, the gun features a full external robust polymer build, with ergonomic curvatures allowing for superior grip comfort when held.

In keeping with the ethos of the P90 being lightweight, this replica follows suit by being constructed from tough but lightweight polymer, meaning that the SMG handles like you aren't holding anything. As a result, you can zip around skirmishes with ease, picking people off at close range without getting tired. The featherweight nature of the gun also makes it perfect as a sidearm for snipers, if you want a sidearm that does full-auto, as opposed to a pistol. When moving, or running away from the enemy team, you can easily spray and prey one-handed!

At the front of the gun, we can see the muzzle break, sticking with the classic P90 design attached by a 14mm CCW thread. This muzzle break can also be removed if you fancy, allowing you to add a whole host of different tactical muzzle devices such as suppressor and tracer units, depending on your playstyle or the skirmish at hand.

The height of the P90 grip is minimal and is angled more like a traditional semi-pistol grip rifle stock than a modern pistol grip. This has the benefit that the P90 is very easy to get low in the prone position. This is great for both indoor and outdoor use and allows you to take a very effective cover position and return fire, reload and operate the P90 easily, thanks to its top-mounted magazine.

With this variant of the P90, you have the option to attach optical devices using the 20mm rails. Located above the magazine, there is a relatively long rail top and two small side rail panels, that allow you to attach the sights, optics or tactical devices of your choice. However if you prefer to keep things light and au naturale, so to speak, you can easily aim using the iron sights built into the top rail.

The front grip of the P90 features an integrated hand stop and promotes quick, snap shooting by being very close to the tip of the barrel. This gives you maximum control over the direction the P90 is pointing and makes you less likely to overshoot when transitioning between targets at speed.

The fire selector is expertly designed and right where it needs to be; just below the trigger. The rotary design makes the controls ambidextrous, so whether you are right-handed or a lefty, you can wield this SMG with no problem. The P90 has 3 modes of fire, safe, semi-auto and full-auto. The difference between the P90 and other AEGs is its two-stage trigger system, which allows you to shoot semi-auto when the selector is set to full auto with a short trigger pull, and lay down a hail of BBs by pulling the trigger back all the way for full-auto fire. This is especially useful for dealing with moving targets as you can quickly make the call to send a burst down range if semi-auto fire is not sufficient to send the enemy back to spawn.

Located on the top of the stock, at the rear of the magazine, we have the P90s magazine release. This mag release requires pulling back to release the mag. The top-mounted magazine is a major advantage when it comes to reloading in the prone position, just ask anyone who knows about the infamous BREN gun! There is no need to roll around or tilt the P90 to access the magazine well, everything you need is right on top and easily accessible. This is a major reason the P90 is such a popular sniper's secondary as its compact size and fantastic utility in the woods make it the perfect choice.

The Double Bell also comes complete with an adjustable HOP unit and it is found inside the receiver, accessible through a port located inside the thumbhole of the stock. The port door can be opened using your fingernail or a flat-head screwdriver. The Hop unit is that of a rotary design and so by turning it, the adjuster will vary the amount of backspin applied to your BBs and allow you to experiment with different ammunition weights and fine tune to allow for the flattest possible trajectory.

The battery compartment is located inside the stock, and to access it you will need to remove the butt plate. This can be done by pressing the button on the underside of the butt plate and sliding the plate downwards and off the AEG. Inside you will find a mini-Tamiya battery connector to which you connect your battery. We recommend a 7.4V 1300mah LiPo stick battery, which fits nicely above the gearbox with plenty of room to spare.
