Description
If you're a fast mover looking for a GBBR with speed on its side, the EMG Daniel Defense DD PCC Gas Blowback Rifle is definitely worth a look. A full metal build replicating the real steel DD PCC with official licensing from EMG, this hard recoiling GBBR is based internally on the TM ZET system, making it a real beast of a shooter with reliability on point.
The DD PCC is offered in two length variants, the SBR version, ideal for CQB and aggressive skirmishers and the "916" version with its 16-inch outer barrel, the perfect primary for speedy competition shooters. Both variants feature a CNC-machined aluminium M-LOK handguard and flawlessly replicated DD ergonomic furniture, giving them a serious edge in comfort and handling.
The shortened, reduced-weight bolt carrier of the DD PCC also gives you a boost in firing rate and gas efficiency compared to the usual M4 GBBR, and the inner barrel is a 6.03mm tightbore example, providing an accuracy edge with high-quality BBs. If you need a swift GBBR with realism at a peak and the performance to back it up, the EMG Daniel Defense DD PCC Gas Blowback Rifle is a slick choice!
Starting at the front, we can find the standard DD birdcage flash hider mounted to 14mm CCW male barrel threading. The muzzle device suits the DD PCC build perfectly and is made from steel, but can be replaced with any 14mm CCW-compatible muzzle device, including tracer units, suppressors and alternative flash hiders.
Moving rearwards, we come to the handguard, a flawlessly machined replica of the DD4 free-float M-LOK handguard, made from CNC aluminium, complete with white laser-etched trademarks on the right side. The handguard features M-LOK slots at the 3, 6 and 9 o'clock positions, with extra slots at the offset angles, ready for M-LOK accessories or 20mm Picatinny rail adapters for M-LOK.
At the rear of the handguard, we are equipped with a port on either side, designed to work with the included QD sling socket for M-LOK. Simply mount the socket to the M-LOK slot in front of the port, and you're ready to rock a two-point QD sling. We recommend the HASTA Adaptive Mission Sling Gen.4 as it fits perfectly!
Moving rearwards, we arrive at the receiver, made from alloy with precisely machined Daniel Defense engravings on the left side of the magazine well, just like the real thing. The receiver is equipped with a 20mm Picatinny rail running along the top, ready for your choice of sighting system. Being a monolithic-style rail which mates with the handguard rail seamlessly, you have plenty of space for optical sights of practically any length, from red dot sights to full-size rifle scopes.
The fire controls are laid out in a similar manner to the M4/AR-15 platform, meaning minimal retraining is necessary for those already accustomed to Airsoft's most popular platform. The fire selector is just above the pistol grip and mirrored on either side, offering 3 fire modes: safe, semi and full auto, with a 90-degree throw between each. The markings read SAFE-SEMI, just like the real DD PCC, though the third position still provides thunderous full auto fire. Being ambidextrous makes this fire selector ideal for left or right-handed shooters, allowing you to flick between modes intuitively, regardless of your method.
The bolt release catch is also ambidextrous, mimicking the M4/AR-15 in its positioning but with a mirrored catch on the right side. This means you can use the bolt catch the conventional way, or close the bolt with the tip of your trigger finger to get your reaction hand back on the handguard faster. Like the M4/AR-15, the upper section of the bolt catch releases the bolt from the locked position, while the bottom section locks the bolt open when the charging handle is held back.
The charging handle is located at the top rear of the receiver, and as we might expect, is a licensed Daniel Defense design. Known as the "Grip-N-Rip", the charging handle is ambidextrous, with enlarged latches on either side allowing for flawless functionality for both left and right-handed shooters, whether you wear gloves or not.
Pulling the charging handle back and holding the lower section of the bolt catch will lock the bolt to the rear, revealing the TM ZET system-style gear HOP-up adjuster inside the ejection port. This allows you to tune the amount of backspin applied to your BBs and adjust for different ammo weights, seeking the flattest possible trajectory. Being based on the TM design, this is a damned good unit and is also compatible with aftermarket GBB/VSR-style HOP-up buckings for those who want more!
The pistol grip is a near-flawless replica of the real steel Daniel Defense Tornado pistol grip, a slim, ergonomic design with a rubber overmould for optimal traction. The trigger guard is integral to the receiver, improving strength and providing extra space for gloved fingers. Being the GBBR-style Tornado grip, this is a much slimmer design than the AEG version, set at a more vertical angle for ease-of-use when the stock is fully collapsed.
The stock replicates the real steel Daniel Defense Buttstock, a precisely manufactured stock designed to eliminate lateral wobble and add ergonomic enhancements for a more comfortable shooting experience. The sides of the stock are sloped, similar to a Crane stock, but feature rubberised pads on the surface for a positively luxurious cheek weld.
A QD sling socket is present on either side, ready for QD sling swivels. The stock also includes conventional "footman loops", aka sling slots for standard rifle slings. The butt plate is also serrated for extra grip and shaped to allow for a high hold and a more intuitive head position when shooting. The stock is mounted on a GBBR-spec 6-position buffer tube, allowing you to adjust the stock to suit your body type and loadout perfectly.
Inside, the DD PCC is equipped with steel trigger group parts, ensuring these high-wear components have the robust build to go the distance. The bolt catch is also steel, another essential upgrade ticked off. GBBR users will know how essential steel trigger parts are in creating a reliable system, and thankfully, EMG has done the hard work for us!
Also inside is a 6.03mm tightbore inner barrel, providing an edge in accuracy with high-quality BBs along with a slight FPS boost. The HOP-up unit is TM ZET system spec, making it ready to rock with aftermarket GBB/VSR HOP-up buckings and inner barrels for those who love to tune to perfection.
If you're into the PCC look and crave the GBBR life of hard recoil and high skill, you're in good hands with the EMG Daniel Defense DD PCC Gas Blowback Rifle. With a unique look backed up with proven internals and steel upgrade parts, the DD PCC is the sleek, agile M4 alternative for the fast-moving realism fan!

Special Instructions
This is a Gas Blowback Rifle. GBBRs require maintenance and careful handling and we do not recommend them for new skirmishers. Things to watch out for if this is your first GBBR:
- The rifle cannot be put into "Safe" mode without first being cocked. Generally, the best way to store a GBBR is with the magazine removed, the rifle uncocked and the fire selector set to "semi". Do not force the selector into "Safe" when the rifle isn't cocked; this will damage the trigger group parts.
- The HOP-up adjuster for this TM ZET system GBBR is inside the upper receiver and is accessible through the ejection port when the bolt is locked open.
- GBBRs need to be cocked before the first shot, just like a GBB pistol. It is important that you do not double-load a GBBR, as this can break the nozzle. We recommend clearing the chamber of BBs with a cleaning rod in the event that you finish firing mid-magazine and the bolt does not lock back and show an empty chamber.
- GBBRs generally use higher-pressure gas than GBB pistols due to the extra weight of the bolt. We recommend Green Gas (NUPROL 2.0, VORSK V6, ASG Ultraair) for general use and Red Gas (NUPROL 3.0, VORSK V8) for cold weather use.
- The faster you shoot a GBBR, the less accurate it will be. This is due to pressure variance as the gas reservoir cools down. Full auto is basically for fun; these rifles run far better when used in semi-auto mode.
- Like a GBB pistol, GBBR magazines require maintenance. We recommend leaving a small amount of gas inside the magazine when stored, and not storing the magazines in a cold or damp environment. Magazine seals and valves will need lubrication and to be kept clear of dust and debris.
