Description

The real Taran Tactical Innovations Ballerina

Taking aesthetic cues from the JW4 Pit Viper and JW2 Combat Master Glock 34, the TTI Ballerina is a Glock 17 Gen. 5-based build equipped with TTI furniture and an enhanced TTI slide, the star of the show (at least, in our eyes!) in From the World of John Wick: Ballerina (2025).

Designed for speed, recoil control and top-tier ergonomics, the Ballerina is bristling with enhancements, from its custom stippled frame to its optics-ready slide and unique built-in compensator, giving the front end an aggressive look which telegraphs pure violence.

Platform Details

Starting at the front, we can find the unique compensator of the Ballerina, CNC machined from aluminium and mounted to the tip of the fluted outer barrel. The comp is a big part of the menacing front end, with dynamic angles and crisp machining throughout, along with a recessed TTI logo on the front, so the enemy gets a good view.

At the tip of the comp, we’re equipped with 11mm CW female internal threading, allowing you to mount a thread adapter to use 14mm CCW-compatible tracer units and suppressors. Given that the comp is barrel-mounted, we recommend sticking to the shortest and lightest tracer or suppressor you can find. The EShooter Flare M is a great choice, as it includes the correct adapter in the box.

Next up, we reach the slide, a gorgeous CNC-machined piece with Taran Tactical trademarks on every surface. No matter what angle you’re checking out the Ballerina from, you’ll get a hint of its premium branding. At the front, the join between the compensator and slide is practically seamless, providing an integral look and clean aesthetics.

The front and rear of the slide feature dynamic serrations, designed so you can easily rack the Ballerina from the front or rear. The front serrations also wrap around the top, giving you optimal control in wet weather or when wearing gloves.

On the sides and top, we have a single weight-reducing vent port, providing the recognisable TTI look with a boost in gas efficiency as a bonus. Through the ports, we get a glimpse of the fluted outer barrel, a perfect match for the real pistol and a hallmark of a premium sidearm.

At the chamber, we can take note of the reprofiled centre section, with a weight reduction recess, angled surfaces and a recessed TTI logo, with 9mm calibre markings just below. This chamber/barrel design is unique to the Ballerina and ties in flawlessly with the ultra-modern styling of the build overall.

To the rear of the chamber on the right side, we have the mock extractor, machined as a separate piece to avoid the tell-tale signs that this is a replica and not the real deal. Below the extractor, we are treated to a flawlessly engraved “Combat Master” marking, completing the TTI vibe and keeping the Ballerina aesthetic in line with the rest of the JW pistol line-up.

Over on the left side, we have the iconic Taran Tactical Innovations marking, machined to perfection in Taran’s unique font and recessed into a parallelogram-shaped cell which matches the dynamic angle of the front and rear serrations.

On the top rear, we can find our rear iron sight, a fixed combat-style open sight with anti-glare texture, ensuring you get a clean sight picture in bright conditions. The rear sight also features a flat front face to allow you to rack the slide from a belt or mag pouch one-handed.

The rear sight pairs perfectly with the front sight, which is equipped with a green light-enhancing insert for maximum visibility. The use of an anti-glare rear sight with a high-vis front sight means you’ll never mix the sight dots up under pressure, as is possible with white-dot open sights.

In front of the rear sight, we have an optics-ready cut designed for RMR-footprint red dot sights. While the movie firearm was used with only iron sights, the real Ballerina pistol is sold by TTI with an SRO red dot sight, which improves target acquisition speed and looks fantastic. Our AIMO SRO-style Red Dot is a perfect fit should you want to recreate the TTI Ballerina Package.

Moving down to the frame, we have a unique TTI frame design, inspired by the JDG P80 enhanced frame for real steel Glocks. At the front, we’re treated to a true 20mm Picatinny rail, ensuring you’ve got extra rail space to position a tactical flashlight where you need it compared to a standard single-slot Glock rail.

Recessed into the bottom of the rail, we have a hidden trigger lock safety, allowing you to store the Ballerina securely when not in use. This safety is not designed to be manipulated quickly, but is a great way to ensure a negligent discharge is not possible.

Following the rail, we come to the trigger guard, featuring a recurved front face for muzzle rise control using the “European grip” technique. The bottom of the guard is also recessed in a similar style to trigger guard undercuts, encouraging a consistent high hold for improved recoil management under rapid fire.

Above the guard on each side, we’re treated to a stippled index point for the trigger finger, giving you a spot to rest your trigger finger between shots. Stippling is also present on the pistol grip, arranged in panels which wrap around the sides, front and rear, adding plenty of traction whether you wear gloves or not, along with a healthy dose of elite TTI styling.

The trigger itself is a flat design, featuring a separate central blade which functions like the Glock safety trigger. The central blade must be pressed for the pistol to shoot, meaning any accidental presses or snags won’t result in an ND. While it isn’t an exact replica, this trigger is a great match for the styling of the Timeny trigger included in the real deal.

Above the trigger, we can see a small catch which is mirrored on either side of the pistol. This is the disassembly catch and can be used to field strip the EU17 for maintenance. To remove the slide of the pistol, simply remove the magazine, cock the slide so the hammer is back, pull down the disassembly catches on either side and push the slide forward to remove it from the frame.

With the slide removed, you can now access the adjustable HOP-up unit, which can be used to apply backspin to your BBs, extending their range. The dial can be turned to apply additional HOP-up effect and can be tuned to your chosen BB weight to extend the effective range of the pistol. We recommend running 0.25g BBs with this pistol, as they're great for practically any environment.

The magazine release is on the left side of the grip, a Glock Gen.5-style enlarged button with texture on its surface to improve gripping qualities. The mag release is easy to reach and works like a charm, especially paired with the Ballerina’s unique drop-free extended magazines.

At the base of the grip, we are treated to a flared magazine well, designed to help guide your magazine in during a frantic reload under pressure. This flare is a combat-optimised design, with a reduced profile compared to flares used for competition while still serving to support the palm and encourage a consistent grip. Above the flare, we have a discrete TTI logo amongst the grip stippling, tying the full build together as a completed piece.

Internals

Inside, the Ballerina boasts impressive pre-upgraded parts to ensure it stays reliable in the long term. The hammer group components are all made from robust steel, ensuring they can go the distance, even under heavy use.

The inner barrel is a 6.03mm tightbore example, offering a slight FPS boost and enhanced accuracy with high-quality BBs. The CNC-machined aluminium slide also features a steel “slide saver” insert which sits inside the slide lock recess and ensures it never wears out. A great addition to get ahead of known GBB pistol weaknesses, which should result in a longer-lasting slide which will never need replacing.
