This is a Pre-Order listing. Our batch of PTX Pistols is due within the month of April 2026. If you order your PTX using our 1-2 Day Dispatch Service, it will be dispatched immediately when it arrives with us.

If you're a competitive skirmisher seeking peak performance and handling, the Gate PTX HPA Pistol with PULSAR S2 Engine should be in your sights! A truly gorgeous build made from robust 7075 aluminium machined to perfection, the uniquely aggressive looks and high-quality build of the PTX are barely scratching the surface of the astonishing potential of this one-of-a-kind HPA-ready pistol build.

Inside, the PTX is equipped with the Gate PULSAR S2 HPA engine, a single-piece engine design with an integral HOP-up unit designed for VSR/GBB style inner barrels and HOP-up buckings, with a TDC adjuster to minimise side-to-side shot deviation. The world-leading Gate ASTER II PTX Bluetooth FCU acts as the brain of the platform, providing programmable fire modes, adjustable trigger sensitivity, and a full range of tuning and telemetry wirelessly using Bluetooth and the Gate Control Station(GCS) app.

The result is a pistol platform without equal, hitting out at an astonishing 50 rounds per second, with adjustable muzzle energy ranging from 0.53 to 1.52 joules, all with minimum moving parts for peak reliability and the inherent consistency of HPA, granting accuracy which is hard to beat. If you need top-notch performance in a compact, agile and brutal pistol, the Gate PTX HPA Pistol with PULSAR S2 Engine has the edge over anything else on the market currently!

Full description

Description

If you're all about performance, the Gate PTX HPA Pistol with PULSAR S2 Engine should be your next primary! An absolutely unique HPA-ready pistol with a distinctly aggressive aesthetic, the PTX is all about performance, top-tier handling and battlefield domination!

Performance

The most important thing to note before we get stuck in is that our batch will not have the nozzle reset fault present in early-release PTX pistols. Gate has since redesigned the O-ring which facilitates nozzle reset, and our sample works like a charm, with no faffing and no need to carry out modifications yourself.

When put to the test, the PTX absolutely shreds, with an insane rate of fire peaking at 50 rounds per second in full auto, an instant response in semi-auto with impressive accuracy and range, reaching out to an incredible 60 meters, tested on our in-house range using 0.28g BBs. See it for yourself on our PBTV YouTube Channel!

FPS is adjustable by adjusting the input PSI on your regulator, allowing for muzzle energy between 0.53 and 1.52 joules. This makes the PTX as versatile as the sport itself, able to be quickly reconfigured for CQB or outdoor games and tuned to the peak of skirmish site limits.

Externals

On the outside, the PTX is made from 7075 aerospace-grade aluminium, machined to perfection using CNC technology. 7075 Aluminium (also known as Ergal or Duralmin) is the strongest aluminium out there, boasting comparable strength to mild steel with considerably lower weight. No matter how aggressively you skirmish with the PTX, this build is easily robust enough to take the hits!

At the front, the PTX is rocking 14mm CCW male threading, ready for a tracer unit or suppressor, depending on the mission at hand. In front of the trigger guard on the bottom, the PTX sports a 20mm Picatinny rail, ready for a tactical flashlight, aiming laser or any other 20mm Picatinny accessory. Make no mistake, the PTX is begging to be kitted out!

Coming soon, the PTX will have its own unique compensator for a more aggressive front-end look, and a red dot mount plate so you can add a micro red dot sight for rapid target acquisition. Later down the line, Gate has plans for an integral tracer HOP-up unit, a round counter display (think HALO Magnum) and an integral USB Type-C charger. Get in early, the PTX will only get better as time goes by!

Internals

Inside, things get even better. The heart of the PTX is its unique PULSAR S2 HPA Engine, a single-piece unit designed specifically for the PTX, equipped with an integral HOP-up unit to maximise airseal and eliminate alignment issues. The HOP-up unit is compatible with VSR/GBB style HOP-up buckings and barrels, providing almost unlimited upgrade options. Not that it needs upgrading, but we know the techy types will want to experiment!

A proprietary variant of the Gate ASTER II Bluetooth ETU, known as the Gate ASTER II Bluetooth PTX FCU, provides advanced functionality, programmable fire modes and telemetry adjustment, all done wirelessly via Bluetooth and the Gate Control Station (GCS) app. The trigger operates through a combination of optical and magnetic sensors, offering a vast range of trigger tuning options with unparalleled precision and a practically instantaneous response.

Special Instructions

Issues present in the early batch PTX pistols relating to the nozzle resetting have been solved in our incoming batch.

When removing the slide to access the battery or internals of the PTX, the HOP-up adjustment screw must be reduced to a minimum. If you find the slide is not easy to remove, try loosening the HOP-up adjustment by turning the grub screw counterclockwise.

The PTX requires an HPA bottle, a regulator, and an air line to function. It uses a US-spec HPA connector

Special Instructions

These table can be used as a reference to see if the BB weight you are using will be over acceptable Joulage limits at some Airsoft Sites in the UK. To check if the weight can be used chrono your weapon using the BB you intend to use, and then compare it to the chart.

FPS, Power and Joule Limits can vary from site to site, so please get in touch with where you're going to play with in advance to avoid disappointment.

Suggested limits are based on Joulage Limit rules used Halo Mill: Proving Grounds, with a 350fps limit for Automatic Replicas, 400fps for Semi-Automatic Replicas, and 500fps for Bolt Action Replicas.

Tap the tabs below to open the relevant chart for your replica.

Suggested limits are based on Joulage Limit rules used Halo Mill: Proving Grounds, and is the equivalent of 350fps, using 0.20g BB resulting in an upper limit of 1.14j.
