Description

If you're a fast mover seeking a Hi-Capa to match, the Golden Eagle 3341 Hi-Capa 5.1 Sprint GBB Pistol is ideal! A full metal build with a lightweight CNC aluminium ported slide, the Hi-Capa 5.1 Sprint boasts super slick external looks, a light-enhancing front iron sight for fast target acquisition and a flared magazine well to speed up reloads; the ideal 'Capa setup for a speed-based playstyle.

Inside, we're even treated to a robust steel hammer, steel trigger and a 6.02mm tightbore inner barrel for an accuracy edge with high-quality BBs. If you're looking for a speedy sidearm with the looks to match, the Golden Eagle 3341 Hi-Capa 5.1 Sprint GBB Pistol is a fine choice!

Starting at the front, we can find 11mm CW female threading at the tip of the 5.1-inch aluminium outer barrel, allowing a tracer unit or suppressor to be fitted using an 11mm CW female to 14mm CCW male thread adapter. If you're planning on rocking a tracer with the 5.1 Sprint, we recommend the Eshooter Flare-M, as it is supplied with the correct adapter in the box.

The outer barrel itself features unique spiral fluting running its entire length, visible through the slide ports and at the chamber. Fluting helps reduce barrel weight while encouraging cooling in real steel form, but in Airsoft terms, it simply enhances the aesthetic. The fluted barrel adds a high-end, custom look to the Hi-Capa Sprint and is commonly seen on real-world Hi-Capas designed for competitive shooting.

The slide itself is ported at the front, with large, angled ports on each side and serration-style ports on top. The side ports can also be used as makeshift slide serrations, allowing for easy racking from the front or rear. The ported slide design helps cut down weight to improve slide cyclic speed and enhance gas efficiency, a prerequisite of a build designed for pure speed.

The sights of the Hi-Capa 5.1 Sprint can be found on the top of the slide. The front sight is a fixed light-enhancing sight with a red insert, allowing for fast target acquisition, even in low-light situations. The rear sight is a serrated "anti-glare" open sight which combines well with the light-enhancing front sight to prevent accidentally mixing up the sight dots and pulling your shot off. Both sights are made from steel, a big plus for strength in this affordable package.

The rear sight is fully adjustable, allowing for elevation adjustments(up and down) by turning the screw on the top using a flathead screwdriver. The windage can be adjusted using the screw on the right side of the sight, which will allow you to move the sight picture left to right. Adjustable sights very much suit the competition-esque styling of the Hi-Capa 5.1 Sprint, allowing extra precision so you can land shots on small targets with ease.

At the rear of the slide, we can find stylish angled serrations to provide positive control over the slide of the pistol, meaning no matter the weather conditions, you will still be able to cock the slide, with or without gloves. The styling of the serrations matches perfectly with the shape of the front slide ports, providing the professional aesthetic of a completed piece.

Moving down to the frame, we can find the standard Hi-Capa layout of an alloy frame with a modular, polymer pistol grip. The slide release catch can be found on the left side of the pistol, just above the trigger, and is a slightly enlarged design to enable those with smaller hands to use the control effectively whilst remaining tight to the frame to prevent snags. The magazine release can be found on the left side of the grip and is an extended design to allow for easy and fast access when time is of the essence.

The grip itself is constructed from high-density polymer and features dot texturing on all sides to provide the gripping qualities necessary for use in all weather conditions, with or without gloves. As a part of the Hi-Capa design, the trigger guard is integrated into the pistol grip module and includes undercuts for both the strong hand and support hand, encouraging a high grip on the pistol for better recoil control.

At the base of the grip, we can find a magazine well extension with a bevelled inner wall, also known as a magazine well flare or flared magwell. This part is intended to help speed up reloads by providing a widened route to the magazine well, allowing for "eyes up" reloads and easier reloads on the move. The flared magwell also serves as a palm rest, encouraging a consistent grip which translates to accuracy downrange.

The manual safety catch can be found at the rear of the pistol, and is mirrored on either side to allow for left or right-handed use. This manual safety can be activated whether the pistol is cocked or not and will lock both the trigger and slide when pushed upwards. When not in use, the safety does double duty as a "gas pedal" style thumb rest to encourage a consistent grip and assist with controlling muzzle rise during rapid fire.

At the rear of the frame, we can find our secondary safety device: the "beavertail" grip safety. This safety prevents the pistol from being fired unless it is pressed in, ensuring the pistol will not fire when dropped and allowing you to safely carry the Hi-Capa, "cocked and locked", with its legendary light trigger. The beavertail present on the Hi-Capa 5.1 Sprint is an extended design, featuring texture on the rear surface for additional grip and an extension to ensure the safety is disabled as soon as the pistol is gripped.

Just above the grip safety, we can see the hammer, which is a low-profile skeletonised design intended to reduce the chances of "hammer bite" and prevent the hammer from snagging on your gear as you draw. The angular design of the hammer sits right in line with the visual language expressed by the rest of the pistol, and also includes linear texture on the upper surface to allow for greater control if you need to de-cock the Hi-Capa.

Whether you're working on a Speedsoft build or seeking a Hi-Capa with the edge in speed and gas efficiency, the Golden Eagle 3341 Hi-Capa 5.1 Sprint GBB Pistol is the way to go. With hot-rod-esque looks, pre-upgraded steel internal parts and a precise tightbore barrel to top it off, this is a fantastic value package for the speed-inclined!
