  • CNC aluminium handguard
  • Aggressive "DOOMSDAY" design
  • 3/6 BBs per shot - Shotgun-style spread

If you're planning for the end of the world, no shotgun is more fit for the role than the Golden Eagle AT8905 "DOOMSDAY" Gas Pump Action Shotgun! This menacing platform is built to survive a nuclear apocalypse, with a CNC handguard and receiver rail, along with steel parts where necessary for durability.

Internally, this beast is based around generation 2 of Golden Eagle's Type 870 series, boasting improved quality rubber seals, a built-in gas reservoir and compatibility with common tri-shot shotgun shell magazines. The system is based on the Tokyo Marui M870 and is capable of shooting either 3 or 6 BBs per trigger pull, making it a serious foe to contend with in a CQB scenario. Most upgrades and enhancements for the TM system should fit this monster, including HPA conversions, drum mags and other fun-enhancing accessories.

Description

If you're looking for a compact shotgun to take names at CQB, the Golden Eagle AT8905 "DOOMSDAY" Gas Pump Action Shotgun is an excellent choice. This tactical platform features a stubby front end and adjustable stock, meaning you can weave through close corridors with ease.

Starting at the muzzle, we find the front end of the CNC upper receiver rail mount. It boasts M-LOK slots for a sleek finish and modern attachment compatibility. It sits relatively close to the outer barrel, so fitting a tracer unit to this shotgun may require some sort of barrel extension for guaranteed fitment.

Moving rearwards, we come to the handguard, equipped with M-LOK slots running along the bottom and additional slots on each side. Thankfully, there is plenty of clearance between the mock mag tube and handguard, meaning these M-LOK slots are ready to rock with M-LOK accessories, including vertical or angled foregrips, tactical flashlights or 20mm rail adapters for those who prefer 20mm accessories.

Above the handguard, we are treated to a CNC aluminium top rail covering the outer barrel. This provides the DOOMSDAY with plenty of rail real estate for all manner of attachments like sights, lasers or flashlights! It is a 20mm Picatinny rail, meaning it is compatible with most common Airsoft attachments.

The trigger and trigger guard assembly is positioned just to the rear of the shell port/magazine well and includes a cross bolt safety just behind the trigger. When engaged, the cross bolt safety will lock the trigger and protrude on the right side, putting it easily within reach of the trigger finger for quick actuation and intuitive handling. When the safety is off, the cross bolt button will protrude on the left side with a red ring surrounding it to indicate that the shotgun is hot.

This modern platform comes with a pistol grip as opposed to the semi-pistol grip found on most M870 shotguns. It has a texture pattern on both flanks as well as horizontal gripping qualities on the front. This makes pointing and manoeuvring the shotgun a lot easier in CQB environments. Just above the pistol grip is a QD point ready for mounting a quick-detach sling.

On the left side of the trigger guard, we can find the shell door release cunningly disguised as a dummy bolt release. On the real M870, this control allows you to unlock the bolt and eject a loaded cartridge should you need to switch ammo types or unload without firing. In the Golden Eagle AT8905 "DOOMSDAY" Gas Pump Action Shotgun, it opens the shell port door and, with a hard push, ejects the shell inside. If you're planning on using a drum mag, the shell port door will need to be removed.

This beefy shotgun comes with an adjustable stock mounted on a standard M4 buffer tube. It gives you six positions of adjustment to suit all play styles and kit loadouts. The stock is a Golden Eagle original design, originally from their M4 GBBR series. It features a raised cheek rest, rubber butt plate and a low-profile adjustment lever. It also has QD sling points on either side of the back end.

Being based on the TM 870, the DOOMSDAY is capable of shooting either 3 or 6 BBs per shot, giving you a realistic shotgun-like spread, which is fantastic for dealing with moving targets or getting the first shot off when breaching a room. To switch between 3 and 6 shot modes, simply pull the pump handle rearwards so the mock bolt is retracted and push the sliding switch inside the mock ejection port to the position of choice. With the switch at the front, the Golden Eagle AT8905 "DOOMSDAY" Gas Pump Action Shotgun is set to 3-shot mode, and with it at the rear, you're ready to unleash 6-shot brutality on the enemy team!

If you want a mean-looking shotgun which is ready for CQB, as well as the end of the world, the Golden Eagle AT8905 "DOOMSDAY" Gas Pump Action Shotgun is exactly what you need. This shotgun is both fun and functional, with a unique design and reliable gas
