If you're seeking a sleek, realistic SMG platform designed for speed, the Golden Eagle AT903 AT9-PCC GBB SMG is a fantastic choice. Inspired by the real steel MPX in Pistol Calibre Carbine (PCC) configuration, the extended barrel and handguard of this SMG give it a uniquely sleek profile and remarkably low weight for its size, despite its realistic full metal build. With an M-LOK handguard, threaded barrel, 20mm Picatinny railed receiver and the 1913 stock interface at the rear, the AT9-PCC is perfect for players who love customisation!

Inside, Golden Eagle has given us what we need to keep the AT9-PCC in action in the long term, along with a nifty FPS adjustment function to make GBBR life that bit more user-friendly. The entire trigger/fire control group is made from robust steel, ensuring these high-wear components will never let you down. The inner barrel is a 6.05mm tightbore example, enhancing accuracy with high-quality BBs and providing a small boost in gas efficiency.

The pre-installed NPAS-style adjustable valve allows you to tune FPS to suit your needs, account for different gas pressures and ambient temperatures and keep your AT9-PCC tuned to the limit. Every GBBR user knows the pain of bringing your pride and joy to a game, only to find it shoots slightly over the limit due to warm temperatures. With on-board FPS adjustment, you'll never have this issue. Whether you love the looks of 3-Gun competition-style PCCs or you're after an SMG with advanced handling and enough barrel length to handle long-range threats, the Golden Eagle AT903 AT9-PCC GBB SMG is the way to go!

Description

If you love the realism of gas blowback but want a build which stands out, the Golden Eagle AT903 AT9-PCC GBB SMG should be in your sights! A full metal GBB SMG inspired by the real steel MPX in "PCC" configuration, the AR9-PCC boasts an extended handguard and outer barrel, improving long range performance compared to shorter variants and allowing for modern shooting stances focused on speed and control.

On the outside, this sleek competition-style build is dressed to impress, equipped with an M-LOK handguard, a monolithic 20mm Picatinny receiver rail, ambidextrous controls and the cutting-edge 1913/20mm Picatinny stock interface at the rear, giving you access to the latest MPX and MCX stock designs, which are rapidly expanding to new platforms.

Inside, things are equally impressive. The AT9-PCC boasts steel trigger group components, eliminating chances of failure for these high-wear parts and improving reliability significantly compared to zinc alloy trigger parts. Also inside is a unique external adjustable HOP-up unit paired with a 6.05mm tightbore inner barrel and an NPAS adjustable valve, allowing you to tune FPS to perfection to take full advantage of skirmish site limits. If speed is your goal but you're looking for full-fat GBBR realism, the Golden Eagle AT903 AT9-PCC GBB SMG is a fine choice!

Starting at the tip of the 11-inch outer barrel, we can find an aggressive muzzle brake-style flash hider attached to 14mm CCW male threading, well-suited to the competition-style Pistol Calibre Carbine (PCC) build. The flash hider is constructed from alloy and can be switched out for any 14mm CCW compatible muzzle device, including tracer units, suppressors and alternative flash hiders.

The handguard of the AT9-PCC is constructed from aluminium and is finished with CNC machining, giving it a flawless form with all the details of the original firearm. M-LOK attachment slots can be found at the 3, 6, and 9 o’clock positions, providing plenty of options when it comes to accessorising the AT9-PCC without making the handguard uncomfortable to hold when kept simple. Punctuating the M-LOK slots, we can see weight-reducing ports which keep the front end of the AT9-PCC lightweight and agile, ensuring you can point it quickly and react to sudden threats in a CQB environment.

At the 12 o’clock position, we have a 20mm Picatinny rail, which is ready to accept any 20mm Picatinny accessories, including red dot sights and magnifiers. This rail leads back to the receiver rail in "monolithic" configuration, with a recessed centre section, ideal for "C-clamp" grip styles. The recessed section also features M-LOK slots, ready for M-LOK accessories or an -LOK mounted pressure switch. The monolithic top rail allows for a PEQ15, red dot sight and magnifier and switch to be mounted at the same time, great for those who love a decked-out primary with elite looks.

The HOP-up adjuster of the AT9-PCC is a unique design, adjusted using a 5mm Allen key through the front of the handguard. The adjuster is just above the outer barrel and offers a full 360-degree rotation before bottoming out. The adjustable HOP-up allows you to tune the AT9-PCC for different ammo weights, seeking the flattest possible trajectory.

The AT9-PCC’s receiver is derived from the M4/AR-15 configuration and comprises an upper receiver and a lower receiver, just like the AR. The upper is a monolithic design for optimal strength, like the MCX and SCAR, and the lower is patterned after the M4/AR-15 but with ambidextrous functionality to allow left and right-handed shooters to operate it intuitively.

The fire selector is right where you would expect it: above the pistol grip, sitting right beneath the shooter's thumb for fast access. As with all of the controls on the AT9-PCC, the fire selector is present on both sides, making this SMG a great choice for a left-handed skirmisher or an experienced skirmisher who likes to be able to shoot from either shoulder to make the most of the surrounding cover.

The familiarity continues with the magazine release, which is positioned on the magazine well on both sides of the AT9-PCC. This is a push-button style design and is very similar to an M4/AR-15, meaning if you have experience with the M4 platform, you will feel right at home with the AT9-PCC in your hands.

The bolt release catch is also present on either side, with an M4/AR-15 style “ping pong paddle” on the left side with an extended lower section, and a push button on the right just above the mag catch. This allows you to release the bolt after a reload, simplifying handling and getting you back online faster than working the charging handle. The right side bolt release sits nicely within reach of the trigger finger, which is one of the more enviable aspects of the real AT9-PCC design. We wish more M4s had this built in, but for now, the AT9-PCC will have to do!

Once again, the charging handle of the AT9-PCC is located in the same place as it is on the M4/AR-15; at the top rear of the receiver. The difference between this and the standard M4 charging handle is its ambidextrous functionality, presenting two release tabs, one on either side, which allows you to pull the charging handle with a single finger, whether you are left or right-handed.

Being a GBBR, the charging handle needs to be pulled to load the first BB and cock the hammer, just like a real rifle. It's important that you never rack the charging handle when the fire selector is set to safe, as this can damage the fire control group.

To assist in speedy reloads, the AT9-PCC has an extremely wide magazine well flare, practically guaranteeing that you will never fumble a reload under pressure. The magwell flare also allows for easy and fast “eyes up” reloads with a bit of practice, making the AT9-PCC a great primary for competition shooting and players who value speed.

Like the magazine well, the trigger guard is also enlarged to allow for fast access to the trigger, even if you are wearing thick gloves. The pistol grip is a redesigned M4/AR-15 AEG-style motor grip with effective gripping texture on the sides and linear texture on the front and rear. This grip is set at a more vertical angle than most M4/AR-15 grips to allow for more comfortable shooting with the stock fully collapsed and with more modern shooting stances.

On either side of the receiver, we can see recesses designed for the sliding MCX PDW stock system, giving you the option of installing a sliding PDW-style stock to the AT9-PCC for a different look. We haven't yet had the chance to test the Sig Air PDW stock, but once we do, we will let you know whether it's compatible.

The stock attachment method of the AT9-PCC is known as the “1913 rail stock attachment system”, which basically uses a 20mm Picatinny rail to mount the stock. This gives you a wide variety of aftermarket stock options to choose from, including simple skeletonised stocks for reduced weight, visor stocks for more comfortable use with large full face protection and even M4/AR-15 stocks which can be mounted with a 1913/20mm Picatinny buffer tube adapter and buffer tube.

Below the 1913 interface, we are treated to a QD sling socket, allowing a QD sling swivel to be added to allow for a single-point sling. The central positioning of this slot is great for ambidextrous use in CQB, allowing you to switch shoulders quickly without getting tangled up. This QD sling point is functional, but won't engage with certain QD swivels which protrude deeply into the socket. If you need a QD point which definately fits, use the CYMA Steel QD Sling Swivel.

The stock setup provided with the AT9-PCC is a 6-position M4/AR-15 buffer tube adapter with a low-profile stock, giving you a build not unlike the JW3 MPX in terms of silhouette. The buffer tube provides 6 positions of adjustment for the stock, allowing you to adjust to suit your body type, loadout and ergonomic preferences.

The low-profile design of the stock helps prevent sling snags and keeps you agile in-game, while the integral QD sling sockets allow a QD sling swivel to be fitted on either side. The stock is supplied separately in the box, so have your Allen keys handy, though installation is as simple as installing any 20mm Picatinny accessory.

Inside, this rather affordable GBBR has some generous pre-upgraded parts, including a full set of steel trigger group/fire control group components, including the ambidextrous bolt catch, magazine release, trigger, hammer and other small parts. This cures the usual weakness in GBBR systems with extremely robust parts, far stronger than the usual zinc alloy trigger parts.

Also inside is a 6.05mm tightbore inner barrel, providing a boost in FPS and gas efficiency, along with an accuracy edge with high-quality BBs. The NPAS-style adjustable valve is also a generous addition from Golden Eagle, allowing you to adjust FPS so you can always take advantage of site limits by tuning to the peak. The NPAS is something you'd usually have to buy separately on the aftermarket and install yourself, so we're rather chuffed that Golden Eagle saved us the effort!

If you love a swift SMG with plenty of space on the handguard for modern shooting stances, the Golden Eagle AT903 AT9-PCC GBB SMG should suit. Whether you're shooting for speed in competitions or looking for a sleek, realistic SMG for a mix of indoor and outdoor play, the AT9-PCC is one to watch!

Special Instructions

This is a Gas Blowback Rifle. GBBRs require maintenance and careful handling, and we do not recommend them for new skirmishers. Things to watch out for if this is your first GBBR:

  • The rifle cannot be put into "Safe" mode without first being cocked. Generally, the best way to store a GBBR is with the magazine removed, the rifle uncocked, and the fire selector set to "semi". Do not force the selector into "Safe" when the rifle isn't cocked; this will damage the trigger group parts.
  • The HOP-up adjuster for the AT9-PCC GBBR is inside the upper receiver and is accessible through the front of the handguard using a 5mm Allen key.
  • The AT9-PCC GBBR features an "NPAS" adjustable valve. This allows you to alternate the proportion of gas used for blowback and for shooting, which in turn allows for FPS adjustment. This requires a 1.5mm Allen key. Please be aware that it is possible to dial the NPAS so far in either direction that all gas goes one way. This will mean your BB does not shoot, or your GBBR does not cycle. If this happens, apply adjustments to the NPAS valve.
  • GBBRs need to be cocked before the first shot, just like a GBB pistol. It is important that you do not double-load a GBBR, as this can break the nozzle. We recommend clearing the chamber of BBs with a cleaning rod in the event that you finish firing mid-magazine and the bolt does not lock back and show an empty chamber.
  • GBBRs generally use higher-pressure gas than GBB pistols due to the extra weight of the bolt. We recommend Green Gas (NUPROL 2.0, VORSK V6, ASG Ultraair) for general use and Red Gas (NUPROL 3.0, VORSK V8) for cold weather use.
  • The faster you shoot a GBBR, the less accurate it will be. This is due to pressure variance as the gas reservoir cools down. Full auto is basically for fun, and these rifles run far better when used in semi-auto mode.
  • Like a GBB pistol, GBBR magazines require maintenance. We recommend leaving a small amount of gas inside the magazine when stored, and not storing the magazines in a cold or damp environment. Magazine seals and valves will need lubrication and to be kept clear of dust and debris.
