If you need a full metal Airsoft shotgun for owning the CQB site, the Golden Eagle Type 870 M8884 Combat Enhanced Gas Shotgun is an excellent choice! Featuring an adjustable stock, M4 buffer tube and M-LOK slots on the pump action, this platform is more than ready for the battlefield!

On the inside, it's based on the Tokyo Marui Tri-shot M870, meaning upgrade and replacement parts are plentiful. It has an internal gas tank which can be filled on the buffer tube, making refills between fights quick and easy if required. It is loaded using shotgun shell-style 30-round magazines, of which there are three included in the box.

Description

The Golden Eagle Type 870 M8884 Combat Enhanced Gas Shotgun is the ideal accomplice for close-quarters play. It boasts a tactical-focused design, combining ease of use with frighteningly effective shooting. Very similar to the Golden Eagle M8878, the Combat Enhanced version offers better ironsights, a more ergonomic grip and tactical M-LOK pump-action, with enough barrel clearance for attachments.

Starting at the front of this shotgun, the outer barrel is not threaded but sticks out just enough for a shotgun tracer to be mounted. Directly underneath that is the shell tube, on a real shotgun; this is where you would load all your shells ready for shooting. For this Airsoft replica, it is simply a storage tube; the front can be twisted off to store excess shells for handy access.

Immediately behind is the M-LOK pump-action grip. This design is Golden Eagles, but is heavily inspired by Strike Industries' modern and dynamic real steel models. It comes with a handstop preinstalled on the front, which is ideal for quickly pushing the pump forward as well as not accidentally losing your grip and shooting your hand.

It features M-LOK slots around it, ideal for mounting attachments like flashlights, lasers or a foregrip. This pump action is constructed from CNC aluminium and has serrations cut into it, making it easy to manipulate for quick shots or tight spaces.

Moving rearwards, we come to the receiver. This is constructed from alloy and looks like a standard M870 model, other than its buffer tube stock and pistol grip. The shell window is located at the bottom, with the opening latch situated just behind that, allowing for quick access when it's time to reload.

Behind that is the trigger with a manual trigger lock safety. In the safe zone, ensure that the push button sticks out to the right side of the shotgun; this then locks the trigger so it can't be shot. Equally, remember to push it back through to the left side when it's time to shoot, to avoid disappointment and an embarrassing trip to respawn.

Atop the receiver, we find a 20mm Picatinny rail. This is perfect for mounting a red dot to get the complete shotgun operator look. However, a red dot is not needed on this replica as it features a set of light-enhancing iron sights. Both iron sight posts have green fibre optic inserts, which catch the light tremendously, and their open design makes looking down them easy.

The pistol grip has changed from the original Golden Eagle M8878, featuring a new pattern. It is a moulded polymer with sideways grooves on it. These are excellent for gripping whilst not providing the potential discomfort that can be found on other, rougher grips.

Above that, there is a QD point on either side of the platform. This allows you to set up a single-point sling easily to help you carry the platform, or drop it without worry if you need to draw your sidearm. If you prefer a two-point sling setup, the pump and stock can be used as loop points.

At the back of this Airsoft shotgun, we find the M4 buffer tube. This provides 6 points of adjustment for the stock, meaning you can set it up ergonomically for any Airsoft kit loadout. The gas fill valve is also located on the buffer tube, found on the bottom at the front. This allows you to easily fill the Combat Enhanced Shotgun with gas, ready for shooting and skirmishing.

The Golden Eagle Type 870 M8884 Combat Enhanced Gas Shotgun features a low-profile stock. It has a simple yet ergonomic design, with an easy-to-use adjustment lever and rubber butt plate. It is covered in potential sling points, with slits, and a hole on the bottom for any kind of sling setup.

Internally, this Golden Eagle shotgun is based on the Tokyo Marui M870 platform. This means it is a reliable and durable system, plus plenty of aftermarket upgrade and replacement parts. As it is a tri-shot shotgun, it has a fixed HOP and three inner barrels. You can select 6 shots by pulling the pump back and adjusting the switch in the ejection port.

FPS, Power and Joule Limits can vary from site to site, so please get in touch with where you're going to play with in advance to avoid disappointment.

Suggested limits are based on Joulage Limit rules used Halo Mill: Proving Grounds, with a 350fps limit for Automatic Replicas, 400fps for Semi-Automatic Replicas, and 500fps for Bolt Action Replicas.
