Description

Manufactured by ICS from authentic steel and nylon-polymer materials, this is an incredibly authentic 6mm BB electrically powered Airsoft replica of the L86A2 LSW, a weapon which has been in service with the British Armed Forces since 2003. Just like the real LSW, the Airsoft replica offers an element of additional firepower on the battlefield in a mobile weapon platform that’s considerably lighter than a standard belt and box-fed LMGs and can share magazines with STANAG / M4 magazine-compatible assault rifles.

ICS’s replica authentically captures the unique and unforgettable design features of the real L86A2, most notably the bullpup layout which creates a long-barrelled yet compact weapon platform and its highly unique ergonomic control layout. ICS has ensured that every detail of the LSW has been recreated and is functional, including its extended barrel, supporting outrigger and fully adjustable and traversable bipod. They’ve even included the folding skeletal shoulder brace in the stock and rear support grip, which allow users to maintain a steady grip and keep control over the LSW when firing from a fixed position.

Built using the same gearbox as their excellent L85A2 replica, ICS's gearbox design has a quick-change adjustable spring setting, allowing players to modify the output of their gun's FPS through 3 settings (Low, Medium and High) without having to completely dismantle the gearbox or remove the spring; an invaluable feature for players who attend multiple sites with differing FPS levels.

The L86 features a 19mm STANAG 'dovetail' type rail for mounting the supplied iron sights/carry handle. The sights are fully adjustable for elevation and windage, and the rear sight has two apertures; a small ‘peep’ hole for precision shooting and a normal ‘open’ ring design. This rail will also fit the SA80's iconic SUSAT optic, however, 20mm RIS adaptors can be added, to allow the mounting of other optics.

The L86A2 LSW is undoubtedly a highly unique Airsoft gun, as it gives Airsofters the ability to bring suppressive fire onto the Skirmish field in an assault-rifle-sized platform that's capable of sharing normal STANAG magazines. The L86 is perfect for Airsofters wanting a British loadout and is ideal for Airsofters who want the additional firepower of a support weapon, without the additional bulk and weight of a traditional LMG.

Suggested limits are based on Joulage Limit rules used Halo Mill: Proving Grounds, with a 350fps limit for Automatic Replicas, 400fps for Semi-Automatic Replicas, and 500fps for Bolt Action Replicas.
