  • Full metal construction
  • Snub nose design
  • Loads like a real revolver!

If you’re into classic firearms, but not so classic that cowboys were slinging them, then the King Arms Python 2.5” Snub Nose NBB Gas Revolver should be right up your street! This is a replica of the iconic .357 Magnum “Combat Magnum” looks the part, minus the trademarks, unfortunately.

Just like the real thing, it loads the old-school way: pop open the cylinder, slot in the individual shells, and snap it closed. After that, you’re all set to relive whatever people actually did with revolvers in the 1960s… probably not holding up stagecoaches anymore.

Description

This revolver is absolutely gorgeous! The Python .357 Magnum is an absolutely iconic revolver, even being named by notable firearm collectors and writers as "the finest production revolver ever". You may recognise it from movies, games its real-life uses. This revolver has been everywhere since its first introduction back in 1955.

The Airsoft version is as faithful as possible, hoping to hold up the esteemed reputation that the real steel pistol holds. Coming with the perfect silhouette and the faux wood grip, the Airsoft Python looks like it could be in a museum, or selling for $3,300 in an auction, not just on the Airsoft skirmish field!

The 2.5" barrel was less common for the Python compared to other lengths, like 6", but they were manufactured in a variety of lengths. The Snub Nose style was better for concealed carry, but in Airsoft, it also has its uses. It is much easier to carry on the skirmish field, taking only a fraction of the space a regular revolver would.

Above the barrel, make note of the front sight, which is a typical revolver-style sloped front sight, angled to catch the ambient light and make the sight more visible. This combines well with the rear sight and its anti-glare texture, making the sights easy to acquire and align quickly. The rear sight is adjustable for windage and elevation, so if you want to zero your revolver in for a little more than "combat accuracy", you can, using a flathead screwdriver. The adjustment screw on the top controls the up/down movement of the sight, and the screw on the right side moves the sight left to right.

The King Arms Python 2.5” Snub Nose NBB Gas Revolver operates exactly like the real thing, feeding from realistic brass-coloured metal shells which can be loaded with a single BB each. These shells need to be loaded into the revolver's cylinder, which rotates into position each time you pull the trigger or cock the hammer. To access the cylinder and load the revolver, you will need to push the cylinder release catch forward, which is found on the left side of the pistol just to the rear of the cylinder itself. This will release the cylinder lock and allow the cylinder to swing open to the left side, ready for reloading.

The shells can be loaded either individually or using the included 6-shot speed loader. The speed loader functions just like a real revolver speed loader, and to fill it, all you need to do is place your shells inside. The loader can then be aligned with the open cylinder, and the shells can be loaded by pushing the plunger on the rear of the speed loader.

The safety is located behind the hammer, a small switch that can be pushed forward to lock the trigger and hammer system. Then, when the switch is pulled back, the revolver is ready to shoot, and the trigger is unlocked. This Revolver also makes use of what is known as a "double-action/single-action trigger", which means your trigger has two modes of operation. You can either simply pull the trigger straight back, which will cock the hammer, rotate the cylinder and release the hammer in succession, making for a speedy shot at the cost of a slightly heavier trigger pull.

The other option is the "single action" method, which allows you to manually cock the hammer using the thumb before benefiting from the short and light pull provided by the simplified trigger function. This means you can unload on the enemy with rapid double-action shots and take a precise single shot using the single-action function when it is needed.

This revolver boasts faux wood textured panels with a diamond texture. The revolver not only feels great to the touch but also improves the quality of grip with or without gloves. These panels are convincing enough to look like real wood, without adding the extra cost of real wood panels.

The gas fill valve is located on the base of the grip, and as with a GBB pistol magazine, the pistol needs to be inverted to fill. You should get a decent number of shots from a full gas fill thanks to the NBB action, which is extremely gas-efficient. We recommend standard green gas(NUPROL 2.0, ASG Ultrair, VORSK V6, etc) for regular use and red gas or VORSK V8 for use in colder weather.

If you're looking for a Colt-style revolver with skirmish potential as well as an excellent display piece, the King Arms Python 2.5” Snub Nose NBB Gas Revolver is everything you need. This beautiful replica upholds the revered reputation of the real steel revolver, but doesn't boast the same price tag of $3,300 on average!
