Description
If you're after an Airsoft grenade but don't want to invest in blanks and a BFG, the KRYTAC Tornado 3 Timed Airsoft Frag Grenade has your name on it! Made from robust CNC-machined aluminium and high-density polymer, the Tornado 3 is a serious piece of kit, offering an impressive 360° spread with a 178 BB capacity and around 1 joule of energy (330 FPS using 0.20g BBs).
Turning the top of the Tornado 3 allows you to select your time delay. Once you're loaded with BBs and filled with gas, insert the pin and turn the top cap to your position of choice. The first position is short delay, the second is medium delay, and the final position at the top is long delay. At the very top of the Tornado 3, there is also a hidden AirTag compartment, designed for an Apple AirTag or similar device, so your grenade never goes walkies.
The gas fill valve is on the baseplate. Just like a green gas magazine, you'll need to invert the Tornado 3 to fill it with gas. Please note, KRYTAC advises not to exceed standard pressure green gas, avoiding using red or black gas like NUPROL 3.0, 4.0, VORSK V8 and VORSK V12.
The fill/ejection port is on the side of the Tornado 3, near the bottom. The port is designed for standard Airsoft speed loaders and can be loaded as quickly as any magazine, thanks to its single fill port. When detonated, the full 178 BB capacity is emitted through this port while the Tornado 3 itself spins to provide a true 360° area of effect.
If you're shopping for grenades seeking a hard hitter which doesn't require blanks, the KRYTAC Tornado 3 Timed Airsoft Frag Grenade is a fine choice. Cheaper to run than a BFG but just as much fun, the Tornado 3 is one BB grenade you don't want to be on the receiving end of!
